Position Purpose

• Ensure the financial reporting to Head Office, Regulators, and the general public.  

• Accounting production and statutory accounts- understanding 

• Contribute to the documentation and automation of the processes

Responsibilities

 

Direct Responsibilities

• Preparation of the financial reporting sent monthly to the Head Office: P&L, balance sheet, off balance sheet, annexes, tax book, regulatory reporting schedules. 

 

• Preparation of the liquidity reporting sent monthly to the Group/regulator : LCR/NSFR/ALMM

 

• Preparation of the solvency reporting sent quartely to the Group/regulator : COREP, Asset Encumbrance, ...

 

• Preparation of the ESG reporting sent quartely to the Group/regulator • Prepare ad hoc Financial Reporting for Head office upon request. 

 

• Follow controls and analysis as defined by the BNP Paribas Standard Accounting Control Plan. 

 

• Perform inter-company transactions reconciliation and solve Interco breaks. 

 

• Ensure the good coordination with the Regional Financial Reporting team, during the preclosing process and whenever an accounting issue needs to be addressed. 

 

• Participate to Finance Projects linked to Head Office Financial Reporting 

 

• Contribute to the elimination of manual reclassifications and warnings/missing items and work towards solving at source. 

 

• Provide analysis and response to questions raised by HO Finance / Regional Finance / internal management. 

 

• On a timely basis, provide complete and accurate financial data to the Reporting Team for report production. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Technical & Behavioural Competencies

 

• Strong knowledge of accounting under IFRS and Bank Accounting

 

• Strong knowledge of Financial Products 

 

• Comfortable with basic office tools (Lotus Notes, MS Word, Outlook) 

 

• Excellent knowledge and use of MS Excel

• Very high comfort with working with numbers: rigor, analytical mind-set, ability to interpret numbers.

Specific Qualifications (if required)

 

  Chartered Accountant or experienced MBA or Semi Qualified CA (no.of years differs at each level from 2 to 10 years of experience)

 

• Experience of financial and/or management accounting experience (no.of years differs at each level from 2 to 10 years of experience)

 

• IFRS (e.g. IFRS9) or Belgian GAAP experience preferred

 

• understanding of the solvency-related concepts in the banking sector (regulatory capital and risk weighted assets) preferably CRR3

 

• Ability to deliver excellent results within the established timeframes while managing multiple priorities

 

• Strong attention to detail

 

• Excellent analytical and self-motivational skills

 

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal (English)
