Job Title: Scrum Master – GRC System – Risk, Compliance & Governance

About Business line/Function: The Cybersecurity & Digital Fraud department’s objective is to protect the Bank and its clients from Cybersecurity and Cyber Fraud risks.

This department is in charge of permanent monitoring of the evolution of Cyber Risks in the Group’s Information Systems to guarantee the security of the Bank and ensure the deployment of measures to protect customers while raising employees’ awareness of fraud risks particularly.

Its mission aims at structuring, strengthening, and harmonizing IT risks management and Cybersecurity for BNP Paribas Group and

• Defining the vision and strategy for IT risk management and Cybersecurity, and ensuring the implementation of this strategy within the Group’s operating entities,

• Monitoring the security of the Group's information systems,

• Steering the IT Continuity and Resilience strategy and methodological framework.

The evolving Cyberthreats landscape increases the risk of the financial sector, which leads BNP Paribas to strengthen its Cybersecurity maturity, IT risk management and Operation Resilience.

Whilst being mainly based in France, the Cybersecurity & Digital Fraud Department is developing globally since 2021, especially in India (Mumbai, Chennai & Bangalore) and Portugal (Lisbon & Porto).

Position Purpose: Coordinate agile scrum activities including releases - managing timelines, resolving impediments and coach team members on Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

  • Ensure goals, scope, and product domain are understood by everyone on the Scrum Team
  • Coordinate sprints, retrospective meetings and daily stand-ups
  • Coach team members in Agile frameworks
  • Work with Scrum Team, as well as internal and external stakeholders, to influence and drive decision making
  • Incorporate techniques for effective Product Backlog management
  • Ensure the Product Owner knows how to arrange the Product Backlog to maximize value 
  • Help the Scrum Team understand the need for clear and concise Product Backlog items
  • Prioritize stories during Sprint Planning meetings to meet the needs of users
  • Define and facilitate estimation of story points
  • Coach the development team in self-organization and cross-functionality ensuring creation of high-value products
  • Remove impediments to the development team’s progress
  • Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint
  • Define KPIs, collect and analyze data to track and continuously improve the sprint deliverables
  • Plan and coordinate releases with internal and external stakeholders
  • Guide team to high performing level by recognizing areas of strength and improvement and employing appropriate coaching and development techniques
  • Help build a productive environment where team members ‘own’ the product

Contributing Responsibilities

  • Manage scope and timeline
  • Manage release management activities in coordinate with ServiceNow platform team
  • Coordinate with team for monthly KPIs collection

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

  • Experience as a scrum master for software development projects
  • Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement)
  • Outstanding communication, facilitation, negotiation, and coaching skills
  • Adept at refinement, story splitting, estimation, velocity, retrospection, and other Scrum techniques
  • Problem-solving and conflict-resolution ability
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Working knowledge on Agile management tools like Jira, ServiceNow
  • Experience on creating reports and dashboards

Specific Qualifications:

  • Certification in agile methodologies (CSM, ACP, SaFE Agile)
