We are looking for
Loan Capital Markets (LCM) APAC - CPM Credit Analyst (Associate or VP level)
The LCM team, to which this role belongs, is in charge of both the LCM and FFG businesses in APAC, and is hence responsible for IG loans, leveraged loans and fund financing. The LCM team originates, structures, arranges and executes as underwriter and/or lender a wide range of financing solutions across the credit spectrum and capital structure, across a wide array of situations and across sectors and industries, ranging from vanilla loans to complex/structured transactions, in particular event-driven transaction / acquisitions, across Asia-Pacific, with clients and prospects of BNPP across the Asia Pacific region, with APAC and MNC corporates, financial sponsors (private equity, private credit, infrastructure funds, etc), promoters and financial institutions.
Key loan structures and situations include corporate syndicated, club or bilateral loans (bridge loans or term loans) for IG / corporate borrowers, whether as part of acquisitions/specific events or for on-going financing and refinancing needs, loans financing LBOs and other investments by private equity investors, and financings for financial sponsors at the fund level such as capital call facilities, NAV facilities and Holdco financings with our without recourse to the funds.
The LCM team collaborates closely with other teams, in particular Corporate, MNC and Financial Sponsors Coverage, Loan Syndicate, ECM, DCM and M&A, GCM EMEA/US, Global markets, Wealth Management, Transaction Banking and other regional or global product lines, and fosters cross-collaboration, integrated solutions and cross-sell with other BNP teams in APAC and other regions.
The candidate will belong to the Credit and Portfolio Management team within LCM APAC, and will primarily support the head of CPM team to ensure an active, reliable, and quality portfolio management for the whole Debt Markets portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in risk monitoring of all loans in the portfolio in strict compliance with all credit policies and other policies of the bank, and applicable process frameworks
- Lead annual/quarterly reviews and waivers requests
- Monitor credit performance and compliance with covenant and transaction documents post-closing, adherence to contractual or internal timelines
- Maintain and report overall portfolio metrics and evolution over time
- Assist in the recommendation of potential exit/exposure reduction in certain loans for credit, returns or strategic reasons or on refinancing/new loan opportunities relating to the portfolio.
- Credit analysis including financial modeling, risk analysis, financial analysis, legal/structure analysis, etc.
- Contribute to maintain up to date and accurate data bases, systems, portfolio, pipeline, meeting and other reports as well as financial/income forecasts, budget preparation, etc.
- Be the first line of defense on Risk/Credit/Compliance

Specific Qualifications Required
- 5 to 8 years of direct experience in a leading financial institution (ideally in structured finance, leveraged finance, etc.)
- University educated with strong academic background
- Mandarin, Japanese, or other Asian language desirable
