About Business line/Function:

Market and Financing Services (MFS) IT team is supporting CIB2S Clients on the following financial services - Cash services, Foreign exchange, Financing, Securities lending, Agent Collateral management, Independent valuation (OTC derivatives), and Dealing services. 

2S-HVP IT comprises of Payment and Treasury applications that supports Securities Services to provide an Integrated Treasury Services by Securing and automating connectivity, tracking balances, forecasting, payment initiation, funding & optimizing yield.

Optimising clients’ cash flow processing on a global scale RTGS Management Platform, Multi Market, Multi Currency, High Value Payments (HVP) Used across 13 Branches with 50+ applications sending Cash instructions.

Position Purpose

The Senior Transversal Functional Architecture SME Delivery Lead is the principal authority on the end-to-end functional design of Foreign Exchange (FX), Collateral Management and Settlement across the bank’s global capital markets platform. The role combines deep domain expertise with hands on delivery leadership, ensuring that functional solutions are sound, compliant and delivered reliably within large transformation programs. Lead will drive architecture strategy, orchestrate cross functional delivery teams, and act as the key liaison between business owners, technology squads, risk/compliance functions and external partners.

 

·         Design and implement the best practices, annual plans for IT projects.

·         Contribute to the development and implementation of the IT strategy paying particular attention to the Group's guidelines, Service Level Agreements and the 2SIT strategy 

·         Responsible for overall delivery of the IT team and explore ways to improve efficiency

·         Manage IT teams, set goals, individual objectives and constantly monitor progress.

·         Implement strategies, oversee collaboration and define success metrics.

·         Exposure to UAT cycle, support activities and managing stakeholders.

Functional Architecture Strategy

• Define and maintain a unified functional‑architecture blueprint that spans FX, Collateral and Settlement, aligning with the bank’s global reference architecture (Abacus, SATS / ArchiMate). 
• Produce high‑level functional models (BPMN, use‑case, data‑flow, sequence diagrams) that capture market‑practice workflows, trade‑life‑cycle and settlement.

Delivery Leadership

• Lead a transversal delivery stream (business analysts, solution architects, dev‑ops, QA, change‑management) from requirements production launch. 


• Own programme‑level delivery plans, sprint targets, risk & issue registers and ensure alignment with the overall project‑governance framework. 
• Coordinate closely with the PMO, Scrum Masters and Release Management to guarantee on‑time, on‑budget delivery.

Stakeholder & Governance Management

• Serve as the single point of contact for business owners (FX trading, collateral desks, settlement operations) and external participants (CCPs, custodians, clearing houses). 
• Facilitate Architecture Review Boards, domain‑specific design workshops and decision‑making forums. 
• Document and enforce functional‑architecture standards, exception processes and compliance checkpoints (EMIR, MiFID II, Basel III, Dodd‑Frank).

Technical & Domain Expertise

• Provide guidance on functional design patterns, integration approaches (APIs, messaging, SWIFT, FIX, ISO 20022) and data‑ownership models for margin‑call calculations and settlement netting. 
• Review and approve functional specifications, gap analyses, impact assessments and regulatory‑change requests.

Quality, Risk & Compliance

• Conduct functional design reviews and sign‑off on test cases (unit, integration, UAT). 
• Ensure all artefacts satisfy security, data‑privacy, AML and other regulatory requirements. 
• Work with Risk & Control teams to embed controls (segregation of duties, audit trails) into functional designs.

Mentoring & Knowledge Transfer

• Coach junior architects and analysts, fostering a community of practice around FX, collateral and settlement architecture. 
• Capture lessons learned and contribute to the evolution of the bank’s Enterprise Architecture Framework and delivery methodology (Agile).

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities for functional‑component reuse, standardization and automation (e.g., reusable margin‑call engine, settlement templates). 
• Propose enhancements to tooling (EA platforms, modelling libraries, governance dashboards).

 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience within a global investment‑bank or a large financial‑services institution.
    Involvement in past regulatory‑change programmes (e.g., EMIR‑2, STP initiatives).
  • Hands‑on use of Enterprise Architecture tools (BiZZdesign, Sparx EA, Orbus iServer) and delivery suites (Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Miro).
  • Proven record of delivering reusable functional components (margin‑call engine, settlement‑netting service) at scale.
  • Multilingual ability (English + French) – useful for cross‑regional coordination.

Domain Expertise

• 10 + years of functional design experience in FX trading, Collateral Management and Trade Settlement (post‑trade, clearing & custody). 
• Proven knowledge of relevant regulations (EMIR, MiFID II, Basel III, Dodd‑Frank, CSDR).

Architecture & Modelling

• Strong track record designing functional architectures using BPMN, UML, ArchiMate or similar. 
• Familiarity with TOGAF or an equivalent enterprise‑architecture framework.

Delivery Leadership

• 4 + years leading cross‑functional delivery teams on large, multi‑region transformation programmes. 
• Experience with Agile/SAFe delivery, sprint planning and release coordination.

Integration & Technology

• Good understanding of integration mechanisms used in capital markets (FIX, SWIFT MT/ISO 20022, REST/GraphQL APIs, ESB, MQ). 
• Exposure to cloud‑native, micro‑service and API‑first design principles (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Stakeholder Management

• Ability to influence senior business and technology leaders, translate business needs into technical artefacts and manage competing priorities.

Compliance & Risk

• Experience embedding regulatory controls and audit requirements into functional designs.

Certifications (preferred)

• TOGAF, ArchiMate, PMP / PRINCE2, Agile Scrum Master, Certified Financial Services Auditor (CFSA) or equivalent.
