About the job
The Trading Operations Analyst provides end‑to‑end operational support for the Structured Notes and Derivatives desks. The role bridges front‑office traders, sales, legal, market operations and technology teams to ensure that issuances, secondary market activities, fee calculations, and post‑trade processes are executed accurately, on time, and with minimal risk. The analyst will own a suite of Python‑driven tools that automate checks, reconciliations, and reporting, while maintaining strong communication channels to resolve any discrepancies that could affect Profit & Loss.
Your Main Activities Are
- Coordinate with Sales, Middle Office, Back Office and trading desks to make sure bonds are correctly booked ahead of issuanc
- Ensure settlement instructions are received and align bookings accordingly, escalating any discrepancy that may impact Profit & Loss
- Maintain and enhance Python scripts that perform automatic checks together with booking and amending trades in our internal booking systems
- Run daily reallocation scripts, book new secondary orders, and ensure minimal operational risk
- Communicate proactively with secondary and primary sales and with the other stakeholders to guarantee smooth executions
- Cooperate with Middle-Office, to validate distribution fees and trigger the fee payment process. Escalate to trading when necessary
- Design tools to identify past missing allocations & take steps to solve the issue
- Support the post-trade workflow, ensuring every step is successful until issuance
- Review and populate termsheets with the correct identifiers. Flag inconsistencies to the Structuring team
- Onboard new deals into Issue Master coordinating with Legal to guarantee data accuracy, generate series numbers and confirm all data aligns with the system entry
- Ensure correct onboarding of securities into Sierra and collaborate with Static Data team as needed
- Dispatch activation files to Euroclear and SIX and verify files, confirm receipts and escalate any rejection or mismatch that could impact settlement.
- Support the trading desk running, maintaining and improving Python tools for daily reporting
- Collaborate with Middle-Office, to ensure the running fees are accurate to process the fee payment
- Proactively take out the fee-related holds to avoid any Profit & Loss breaks
Profile and Skills To Success
- Bachelor Degree in Business, Economics, Finance and Computer Science or any similar areas
- Up to 2 years of experience on Trade Settlement, Structured Products, Secondary Markets Reallocations and Fee Reconciliation
- Fluency in English, both oral and written
- Experience using Python
- Great verbal and written communication skills with many stakeholders
- Great escalation and problem-solving mindset, as well as continuous improvement skills

The Trader and Sales Assistant team aims to accompany the continuous enhancement of the quality of service provided to our clients, notably post-trade services. Its role is to support traders and sales in their daily tasks, in the most timely and efficient manner. The trading and Sales assistant team is the key contact for external clients but also for other BNPP functions.
