The position at a glance


Enterprise Services purpose is to centralize core corporate functions, re-enforcing and elevating the objective to actively support strategic initiatives across the bank. It encompasses Workplace & Corporate Services, Data Office,  Procurement, Third Party Management Office and Location Strategy for CIB Americas


The ES Transformation Project manager will have the objective to actively support strategic initiatives across Enterprise Services in various capacities including high level governance oversight, advisory to project and hands on optimization of the Enterprise Services set up (via Identification & Execution of Efficiencies & Digital solutions for Enterprise Services scope as well as execution of Smartsourcing initiatives for the entire CIB Amercias )

This position involves an examination of both qualitative and quantitative information with the ultimate goal being to provide our internal clients an optimal experience / process


You will have the opportunity to work closely with ES Management team to help them create a stronger team and support our growth for the future as well as with Department Heads to support them in their Smartsourcing Transformation.


In detail


Smartsourcing initiatives


  • Provide core Project Management support by understanding the overall project plan and timeframe, keeping to the defined schedule, and using discretion to consider actionable next steps.
  • Develop and infuse expertise in smart-sourcing methodology:
     - Ensure that the same methodology, approach, and governance is applied across domains.
     - Monitor and report changes vs. initial target, analyze variances, report on actual vs. budget using available project management tools (HC & Financials tracking)
     - Ensure the end-to-end reporting of the Location Strategy Monitoring leveraging on appropriate dashboard of activity and indicators.


Continuous Improvement


  • Contribute to the execution of the CIB Americas strategy and provide support to the CIB Americas Enterprise Services Management team. 
     - Through the identification of solutions to bridge gaps in system functionality aiming to reduce time and risk associated with manual manipulation (e.g with data aggregation platforms, workflow tools, Data Visualization tools such as Power BI,  ..)  
     - Either by directly implementing the solution or partnering with Digital & IT Leads or coaching operational teams to enable them to carry out the execution 
     - Assess & enhance the quality of the services provided by Enterprise Services
  • Manage Optimization Projects: 
     - Identify and execute impactful change management and process improvement initiatives. 
     - Work closely with Enterprise Services Management team to identify areas for improvements. 
     - Work closely with teams to define best strategies and challenge them in terms of best practices, operating set up & methodology.
     - Organize, prepare & lead Projects.
     - Produce project reports; request, collect, analyze, query, verify consistency and completeness and integrate weekly status reports from project work streams.
    - Monitor projects deliverables, timeline, risks and dependencies with stakeholders to ensure the completeness and adequacy of deliverables.


The strengths and skills that will help you succeed


Education/Experience: 

  • BA or MS in engineering, Finance, business or related discipline
  • 5 years’ experience, with 3 years in complex process reengineering or transformation projects  
  • Track record of working on large complex assignments
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Advanced technical skills particularly working with Excel spreadsheets and databases 
  • Developed skills on Power BI and Python is a plus. 
  • Skills on workflow tools developments such as Sharepoint is a plus

  • Agile, dynamic, with a problem-solving and analytical mindset
  • Strong written, presentation and verbal communication: 
    • Ability to communicate clearly project objectives and requirements
    • Capacity to present results convincingly at middle and senior management level
    • Writes sharp and straight-to-the-point executive summaries, emails…
  • Go beyond existing frameworks by suggesting new ideas which are suitable for clients and/or the organization
  • Capacity to promote a collaborative environment, engaging people and helping them solve their own issues through the appropriate mentoring. 
  • Very strong work ethic and ability to deal with confidential information.
  • Given the vast majority of our clients, both internal and external, are based outside of Quebec and Canada, specific language requirements may apply. Knowledge of French & English is required.
