What is this position about?
Operations team is looking to hire an additional headcount to meet the resourcing requirements from upcoming projects and control enhancement initiatives. The role will be part of Singapore-based APAC Middle Office P&L Subject Matter Expert (SME) team looking after Asset Liability Management & Treasury (ALMT) business. SME function provides oversight on production of P&L performed by India offshore team (ISPL), bridges communication between ALMT desk and ISPL P&L team, and handles ad-hoc projects, investigation, and requests from various stakeholders.
What would be your typical day at BNPP Paribas look like?
Primary Role Responsibilities
• Perform various daily/monthly/recurring BAU P&L control tasks owned by SME team to maintain the quality and accuracy of P&L reporting
• Provide support on assigned projects by liaising with the project team, providing required information, and taking part in User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Identify opportunities to streamline or enhance existing processes and take charge of the implementation
• Fixing PnL problems quickly and accurately when they occur
• Handle queries and requests relating to audits and close identified gaps
Other contributions
• Update and maintain SOP documentation
• Prepare deck and take minutes for various meetings/presentations
What is required for you to succeed?
• Good understanding of ALMT products and their P&L reporting
• Strong data processing and analytical skills
• Good project/tasks/time management skills
• Proactive and independent learner who can complete tasks under minimal guidance and supervision
• Good team player who is highly collaborative
• Strong written and oral communications
• Genuine interest in Finance/Accounting with drive to learn
Required education/certification/licenses
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting/Finance/ Business/Economics
• Prior experience working in similar function (Product Control/P&L analyst)
• General knowledge in standard financial products and bank front-to-back chain
