Position Purpose

As a Middleware Engineer, you will be Working within a team of like-minded professionals to plan, deploy, and maintain critical business applications

Responsibilities

As a Middleware Engineer you will be in charge of the following activities :

·         Provisioning of servers using Ansible / Terraform

·         Deployment of applications using Ansible

·         Implementation of Monitoring

·         Documentation

·         Troubleshooting

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

Qualification & Experience: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or computer engineering
• At least 5+ years of experience in IT landscape
• At least 3+ years of hands-on experience with WebSphere/Tomcat /Apache
• At least 1+ years of experience with Kubernetes
• At least 1+ years of hands-on experience with Ansible or terraform
• At least 1+ years of hands-on experience with a Cloud provider (IBM/AWS/Azure/Google)

Mandatory

• Strong background in Linux / Unix/ Windows Administration
• Strong critical thinking
• Good knowledge of onboarding & troubleshooting applications on Kubernetes 
• Good knowledge in any one scripting language (Python and/or Bash preferred)
• Good Knowledge in deployment automation tools (Ansible or equivalent)
• Good Expertise on IBM WebSphere v8 or Tomcat v8.5 and Apache v2.4 
• Good Expertise on IBM sFTP,CFT or equivalent 
• Basic Experience in DB Administration (Oracle, MS SQL, Mongo DB)

Good to have

• Knowledge on Job Scheduling Tools (Autosys or equivalent)
• IBM MQ V7/V8 Administration
• Kafka Administration
