The FXMM Derivative & Bonds Back Office is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Vice President to join our BNP Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and providing functional supervision to settlement teams in the FX and Derivative products. The primary focus of this role is to ensure that all activities are met according to pre-defined SLAs, monitor and escalate key issues to the appropriate representatives, and drive pro-active partnership with the business and external parties through product and process expertise aligned with collaboration with functional leads.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ownership and accountability of the Bonds, Derivative and FX trade settlement and accounting process.
• Ensuring timely settlement of time-critical payments, which may include internal and external payments.
• Building and maintaining appropriate BCP and Operational ERS programs.
• Reviewing and owning key risk and control issues, driving continuous process improvement and technical understanding of a high-risk operational process.
• Interacting with senior management to ensure transparency and smooth delivery of business requirements.
• Supervising the overall service delivered to the business and managing both the risk and strategy to maintain an effective business delivery.
• Ensuring KRIs are monitored, managed, and escalated appropriately.
• Being the key point of escalation and engagement relating to controls and governance, change strategies, and tech automation.
• Developing and implementing department-wide policies and procedures and responsibility for directing day-to-day operations.
• Ensuring all applicable governance, compliance, risk policies, and procedures are adhered to and a mechanism exists to promote escalation by staff where appropriate.
• Continually reviewing existing processes to ensure exceptional performance, efficiency, and risk management. Carrying out complex analysis to identify innovative ways to improve straight-through processing, client experience, performance against regulatory targets, and the firm's standing against its peers.

• Being an active member of the management team, participating in discussions regarding the global footprint and the strategic direction of the group. Leading and involving in firm-wide people initiatives, with particular focus on the development and replication of these initiatives.
• Actively participating in external market developments and initiatives. Detailed understanding of changes within the regulatory environment and the expected impact on the functions under management. Firm representation at relative industry forums; ensuring BNP Paribas is viewed as the leader amongst its peers and driving change within the industry.
• Effectively managing operational costs to ensure the function is performed within budget. Proactively identifying opportunities to lower operating costs, whilst maintaining performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in operations, with at least 5 years in FXMM and OTC derivatives.
• Experience managing teams of at least 20 people.
• Excellent knowledge of Bonds,FXMM and OTC derivatives products and processes.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and risk management principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Experience with operations technology and systems is a plus.
