The position at a glance

 

The CEFS organization is tasked with delivering client centric service in compliance with internal and regulatory frameworks. Within CEFS, the Due Diligence Regulatory Reporting team’s objective is to provide reporting support to all operating teams within CEFS for the Americas ensuring that there are consistent escalations to Management when necessary. In addition to day-to-day reporting requests, the team will be responsible for providing all supporting internal and external audit items ensuring that there is a centralized and cohesive response from the department.

 

In detail

 

The Reporting and innovation AVP’s daily responsibilities will be vast covering a range of functions including performing data reviews of reconciliations, escalating any breaks, and ensuring regulatory operational processes are adhered to as well as supporting the other areas of reporting as directed by the Head of Reporting and Innovation.


The responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

Day to Day Production

• Establish and maintain Client Engagement & Protection (CEP) processes for the Americas CIB platform in compliance with local and company-established regulations

• Provide key Due Diligence & Client Service metrics and partner with the Monitoring & Controls teams to ensure effective processes and controls.

• Confer with stakeholders for Americas CEP platform in compliance with company established regulations to identify and document requirements.

• Analyze information systems (GCARS, FENERGO, etc.), processes (KYC, Client Services, Monitoring and Controls, etc.) and propose customized solutions to improve performance and efficiency for various teams in CEP.

• Design, develop, integrate, test and implement information systems business solutions for process automations and performance improvements.

• Provide advice on information systems strategy, policy, management, security, service delivery and produce regular reporting and analysis for management on the reporting items and emerging issues. 

• Act as a liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams for various projects and audit requirements.

• Conduct tests to ensure the reliability, accuracy, and functionality of system changes and enhancements in company reporting systems.

• Assist in operationalizing existing policies and procedures

• Develop efficient procedures & tools and possess an interest in process redesign

• Provide day to day reporting support across the Americas region as well as assist with any ad-hoc requests

• Support all internal and external audit requests by providing all client related reporting and ensuring the accuracy of all supporting documentation.

• Define and provide key reporting metrics to the various stakeholders within Client Engagement & Protection

• Develop and produce regular reporting and analysis for management on the regulatory risk items and emerging issues. 

• Provide analytical support to business and functional management on regulatory matters as needed.

• Timely and accurate updation of various systems involved for tracking the process status of post onboarding/KPI.

• Timely escalations in case of foreseen issues. 

• Maintain and share the productivity KPI with manager. 

• Serve as day to day PM for internal and external audit requests.

Work on critical remediations for the department and manage the stakeholder relationships


Long Term Project

Work on long term remediations & audits for the department and manage the stakeholder relationships


 

Staff supervision/ Organizational Structure: 

The Reporting & Innovation team is based in Montreal and reports to the Head of Reporting & Innovation



Work conditions: This position provides for standard working conditions in an office and a normal work schedule from Monday to Friday. This position requires little travel.

List of required competencies

Education and Work: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or other related field of study
  • 5-7 years in similar role
  • Strong IT Understanding (Power BI, VBA, Power Query, MS Office tools, etc)
  • Prior experience creating and maintaining databases
  • Flexibility and adaptability to new situations and scenarios
  • Capability to multi-task, handle multiple projects at one time, and positively manage tight timelines
  • Strong database management & Excel experience

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Strong functional expertise in one or more areas (Risk, Legal, Due Diligence, CEFS, Operations)
  • Understanding POWERBI, VBA, POWER Query etc.
  • Deep understanding of banking regulations and operations 
  • Proven ability to execute complex projects with large number of dependencies.
  • Experience in communicating and producing presentations to senior management.

 

 

  • Given the vast majority of our clients, both internal and external, are based outside of Quebec and Canada, specific language requirements may apply. Knowledge of the English is required.
