Position Purpose: 


The EQD e‑Business team is a cross‑functional unit responsible for the electronification and digitalization of the Equity Derivatives (EQD) franchise within Global Markets. Within the e‑Commerce arena the team manages the evolution and enhancement of electronic platforms serving Clients, Sales, and Traders, with a commercial objective to expand market‑share, improve client service and increase operational efficiency.

The team also steers the digital transformation of EQD Sales and Trading, overseeing the delivery of new digital products and services in partnership with the Global Markets Lab and external FinTech providers.

The Analyst will support the continued progression of these platforms, develop and maintain the associated data ecosystem, automate documentation processes and champion continuous improvement across the team.

 

Key Responsibilities


  • User On‑boarding & Demonstrations – Guide internal sales teams and external clients onto BNP Paribas’ market‑leading equity‑derivatives platform; conduct live demonstrations and training sessions.
  • Trading‑Floor Support – Provide prompt, efficient assistance to trading‑floor stakeholders, ensuring rapid turnaround of queries and issues.
  • Platform Enhancement – Contribute to the design, testing and deployment of platform upgrades and new functional releases.
  • Data Ecosystem Management – Build and sustain a high‑performance, reliable data infrastructure to meet the analytical and reporting needs of internal users.
  • Document‑Automation – Collaborate with Sales, Legal and IT to design and implement automated documentation templates using the in‑house templating engine (Python‑derived language).
  • Process Automation & Security – Proactively identify, develop and embed automation solutions for recurring tasks whilst enhancing data security controls.

 

Required Technical & Behavioural Competencies

  • Equity Derivatives Knowledge - In‑depth understanding of equity‑derivatives products with relevant experience in a banking or financial‑services environment.
  • Statistical & Analytical Acumen - Ability to apply statistical techniques and data‑analytics methods to resolve business challenges.
  • Programming Proficiency -      Strong coding skills, particularly in Python and SQL; experience with data‑pipeline development is advantageous.
  • Communication - Excellent written and oral communication in English; capability to present ideas confidently and challenge stakeholders constructively.
  • Organisation & Attention to Detail - Highly organised, meticulous, and comfortable handling extensive documentation and complex workflows.
