About Business line/Function:

Corporate and Institutional Banking has an active IT ecosystem with its own IT backbone that involves a large workforce of IT employees working for DEV, Testing and Support projects. CIB ITO Production ensures the provision of industrialized and digital production services. The objective is to offer innovative products and services to its customers in a performing, global and secured environment, to speed up delivery and time to market. CIB ITO Production manages operational risk by running stable and robust IT production platforms. CIB ITO production hosts critical service delivery scope comprising of Global Markets, Global Banking, Client & Employee, ALM&T, Regulatory & Control IT and BP2S.

 

Position Purpose

Provide application support for Trade Processing Applications used by Global Markets Operations staff and other operation functions of the bank.

 

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

  • Provide support for Trade Processing application (Gloss) and associated back office applications for Global Markets.
  • Monitor and maintain scheduled batch jobs
  • Ensure quality and accuracy of outputs to downstream and external systems
  • Perform root cause analysis and liaise with regional and global support teams to stabilize and improve the applications.
  • Provide development and analysis for simple solutions that can be handled locally / internally
  • Manage incidents, problems and changes/release as per procedures and standards. Follow and understand the latest changes & issues on all relevant global and regional systems.
  • Continuously monitor system performance and utilization. Proactively address potential failures.
  • Conduct system testing and assist in User Acceptance testing; perform deployment or upgrades of mission critical applications and systems.
  • Provide system and process documentation. Propose enhancements to the systems
  • Liaise with Operations (Back and Middle office) users, delivering timely updates.
  • Understand user requirement and provide/propose feasible and quick solutions to the users
  • Working closely with regional and Global IT teams.
  • Follow ITIL application support methodology for incident, problem and change management; ensure all actions are recorded in ServiceNow with appropriate priority and SLA attribution.
  • Contribute to BNP Paribas Operational Permanent Control framework and adhere to documentation standards.

 

Contributing Responsibilities

  • Early APAC Support Shift
  • Perform ad hoc weekend work (DR drill, weekend maintenance and releases), on a rotation basis

 

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

Technical & Functional

  • Must have at least 10 years of experience in Windows and Linux Operating System with development and support knowledge in Bash, Python, SQL(Advanced), Excel, VBA.
  • Technologies: Databases (Sybase, Oracle & MSSql), Network (basic knowledge)
  • Applications: Gloss and I-STAR Settlement Systems
  • Financial product knowledge: Financial Products, Trade Life Cycle, Trade Types, Settlement process
  • Experience in using LLM, Dynatrace,  Autosys,   ServiceNow  Excel & JIRA,
  • A big plus if you have background in Japanese Settlement systems, payment chain lifecycle
