About Business line/Function:
Client Engagement and Financial security team is leveraging an integrated model. It delivers a comprehensive range of solutions to various business lines of the Group across the globe. The services include referential data management, Know Your Customer (KYC), Due Diligence preparation (client recertification and onboarding), and AML (Anti Money Laundering).
In the domain of SSI and Call Back, the function provides critical control and settlement instruction management to ensure the secure and accurate movement of funds across all global jurisdictions.
Position Purpose:
The Head of SSI and Call Back will assist for duties within the CIB Client Management team, specifically overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of Standard Settlement Instructions (SSI) and the high-risk Call Back verification processes. This role is critical in mitigating fraud risk and ensuring settlement accuracy. The position involves managing complex data flows, ensuring rigorous adherence to security protocols, and providing strategic support to stakeholders across all three global regions. The incumbent will lead the India COE in driving operational excellence, risk mitigation, and process automation.
Responsibilities
Lead the SSI and Call Back global function based in ISPL, driving transformational change, automation, and AI-enabled solutions while ensuring absolute data integrity, fraud prevention, and consistent service delivery across all global hubs. Act as the single point of accountability for settlement instruction accuracy, Call Back security compliance, KPI transparency, and stakeholder communication across all three regions. Champion continuous performance improvement and risk control worldwide.
Direct Responsibilities
Core Responsibility
SSI Management & Data Integrity - Oversee the accurate capture, validation, and maintenance of Standard Settlement Instructions (SSI) within the global reference systems, ensuring all instructions align with client mandates and regulatory requirements within agreed SLAs.
Call Back Governance - Direct the Call Back verification process to mitigate fraud risk, ensuring all high-value or high-risk instructions are verified via approved, secure channels in strict accordance with internal security policies and client instructions.
Procedural Governance - Develop, maintain, and disseminate standard operating procedures (SOPs) specifically for SSI lifecycle management and Call Back protocols; conduct periodic reviews to ensure alignment with global regulatory standards.
Control Reporting - Produce and distribute daily/weekly/monthly control reports focusing on SSI accuracy, Call Back success/exception rates, and fraud prevention metrics; guarantee that reporting adheres to the bank's control framework standards.
First Line Support - Serve as the primary escalation point and contact for internal stakeholders (Front Office, Risk, Finance, Operations, etc.) regarding SSI queries and Call Back verification status; coordinate resolutions across global regions.

KPI Development & Maintenance - Design, track, and continuously refine core performance indicators (e.g., SSI accuracy %, Call Back turnaround time, fraud/error prevention rates). Publish results in an accessible, self-service dashboard for all relevant parties.
Contributing Responsibilities
Create BRD, functional specifications, flow charts, Root cause analysis and other diagnostic documentations related to settlement instruction workflows.
Have a good understanding of the data flows and understand its lifecycle from client instruction to settlement execution.
Identify fraud risks and operational vulnerabilities in the process and propose/implement robust preventive controls.
Project & Contribution Responsibilities
Project Leadership - Own end-to-end delivery of SSI and Call Back projects (system migrations, automated verification tools, regulatory roll-outs) from concept through UAT, implementation, and post go-live support.
Cross Functional Collaboration - Actively participate in operational procedural reviews, staff meetings, and business partner forums to surface change requirements and alignment opportunities across the three global regions.
System & UAT Involvement - Contribute to system change initiatives, user acceptance testing (UAT), and new security tool onboarding, ensuring that functional specifications meet strict data governance and fraud prevention standards.
Business Partnership Development - Propose and pilot innovative partnership models with Business Units and onshore teams to improve the security of dataflow, reduce manual intervention, and enhance service quality.
MIS/KPI Reporting - Produce ad hoc Management Information System (MIS) and KPI reports as requested by senior stakeholders, providing clear insights and actionable recommendations regarding settlement risk.
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
Technical Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or a related discipline.
12-15 years of progressive experience managing teams in the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services & Insurance) sector.
8 + years of deep expertise in the settlement instruction (SSI) domain and fraud prevention/verification processes.
Strong working knowledge of a bank's internal control framework and fraud mitigation protocols.
Prior exposure to the financial services industry, especially corporate banking, global markets operations, or payment security—is highly preferred.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office: Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, macros; VBA a plus), Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; able to present complex risk and data concepts to senior leadership and external regulators.

Specific Qualifications:
Degree in Finance, Business or Mathematics; post-graduate degree in Business or Finance.
