About the job:
Global Securitised Products (GSP) covers several businesses, including Asset-Backed Securities (ABS), Collateralized Loan Obligation (CLO) & Private Debt Financing. SPG works with corporate and institutional clients, to provide them with financing, risk transfer and capital markets access, through securitisation transactions across a range of asset classes.
SPF is a strategic activity of BNPP that sits within the Asset Financing and Securitization Platform. The team consists of professionals with experience in the financing of leveraged loan portfolios, and the warehousing, structuring, arranging and placing credit securitization transactions.
Your main activities are:
- Credit Management:
- Conduct rigorous credit analysis including fundamental analysis on leveraged borrowers, reviewing financials, transactions, and marketing documents
§Assist credit analysts in evaluating legal documents including credit agreements, bankruptcy filings, guarantee and security agreements, intercreditor agreements and indentures.
§Ensure the regular risk monitoring and maintenance of the portfolio of transactions, including
§annual reviews
§quarterly rating and capital review processes
§weekly update regarding the quality of the assets
- Monitoring of non-financial risks
- Reporting reconciliation between different data sources
- Cash tracing of assets and validation of existence of assets
- Validation of models (borrowing bases) through audit of formulas and maintenance of shadow models
- Verification of asset ownership through various audit of legal documents
- Solidify the non-financial risk monitoring framework and report accordingly to internal stakeholders
- Portfolio Management
- Maintain and feed the Portfolio Management system with data and ensure its quality
- Track covenants of the facilities; maintain borrowing bases and report results to the structuring team
- Data Management:
Assist in maintaining the credit database, creating new entries, updating existing entries, preparing financial models, and troubleshooting errors
Organize the deal document directory, including information sent by clients or posted on shared data sites
- Reporting:
Leverage the credit database for data analysis, exposure breakdowns, and internal reports
Assist with creating reports for the credit database and contribute to overall credit research task
- Transversal Projects:
- Spearhead ad-hoc credit analytics projects such as the BNPP Core Middle Market Index and Quarterly Update of Top Manager
Profile and Skills for Success
- Undergraduate degree with a quantitative emphasis. Master’s degree with finance curriculum preferred
- Fluency in English and excellent communication skills.
- Proficient use of Excel.
- Great team spirit and ability to collaborate with others.
- Attention to detail with an analytical approach and ability to synthesize complex information.
