BNP Paribas is strongly anchored in the Dutch market with our activities in the Netherlands dating back to 1863. As a global full-service bank with the #1 European Investment Banking franchise, we strive to be the first choice for all of our clients’ financial needs. The growing Advisory Netherlands team consists of approx. 10 bankers and is responsible for the origination and execution of Mergers & Acquisitions, supported by a pan-European platform of 400+ bankers across Advisory teams and Industry Groups.

Your new role

  • Advising large corporate clients and financial sponsors on M&A processes, playing a critical role in overseeing process workstreams

Your responsibilities

  • Supporting the origination of M&A transactions by (a.o.) preparing client presentations, conducting market and company-specific research, and liaising with your counterparts across the platform
  • Supporting our clients in executing transactions by overseeing multiple process workstreams, in particular driving modelling/valuation workstreams forward with limited senior oversight
  • Contribute to the recruitment, training and development of interns and analysts

What we offer

  • The opportunity to work on highly visible sell- and buy-side M&A for blue-chip clients in the Netherlands and beyond, leveraging BNP Paribas’ global investment banking platform
  • Become part of an ambitious and growing team of motivated individuals, collaborating closely with Industry Groups, Coverage and product partners across BNP Paribas’ EMEA platform
  • Participation in BNP Paribas’ structured training and development program (IB Academy)
  • Work from our newly developed headquarters, the most sustainable office building in the Netherlands, conveniently located at the Zuidas in Amsterdam
  • A competitive remuneration package (base salary + bonus)

Who you are

  • You have approximately 4-5 years of investment banking (M&A) experience within a bank or advisory boutique, and a demonstrated track record in supporting the origination and execution of M&A transactions
  • Well-developed M&A project management skills, ability to take full ownership of multiple project workstreams in parallel
  • You are able to efficiently distil key messages and supporting evidence and presenting these in a crisp, well-substantiated manner through your PowerPoint proficiency
  • Full professional proficiency in Dutch language is a requirement
  • Advanced Excel modelling skills and the ability to drive valuation workstreams forward efficiently by employing (a.o.) DCF, LBO, multiples, and merger models
  • Ability to train, guide and closely collaborate with junior level colleagues (analysts and interns)
