Description
YOUR JOB IN A NUTSHELL
Build the backbone of our digital future as a Web Infrastructure Architect in our Agile Production Services (APS) tribe. Based in Brussels (HQ), you’ll design, secure, and optimize the high-performance web infrastructure that powers our business, working alongside a diverse, skilled team to push boundaries in scalability, security, and cloud innovation.
If you thrive on solving complex technical challenges and shaping enterprise-grade web solutions, this is where your expertise will make an impact.
AND IN DETAIL
You won’t just maintain systems, you’ll engineer resilience, performance, and security into every layer of our web infrastructure.
Here’s how:
- Design with precision
- Craft Detailed Technical Designs (DTDs) that turn business needs into scalable, future-proof architectures.
- Define reference architectures to standardize how we build, deploy, and secure web applications.
- Solve deep technical problems
- Debug complex incidents using APM tools, logs, and traces, finding root causes and fixing them for good.
- Optimize performance by analyzing application flows, bottlenecks, and resource usage (think: WebSphere tuning, Kubernetes scaling, TLS handshakes).
- Secure and modernize
- Harden our web hosting (WebSphere, Tomcat, IIS) and security layers (F5 WAF, ISVA, API Gateway, oAuth2, HSM).
- Lead cloud migration and optimization (IaaS/PaaS) while keeping costs and risks in check.
- Collaborate and influence
- Work closely with DevOps, Security, and Development teams to ensure designs are practical, secure, and aligned with enterprise standards.
- Mentor and guide, your expertise will help raise the bar for the entire team.
- Keep us ahead of the curve
- Monitor, measure, and improve, proactively spotting risks and opportunities in our web infrastructure.
- Drive cost-efficiency initiatives, from right-sizing resources to decommissioning legacy systems.

- Analytical and data-driven: You don’t guess, you measure, analyze, and optimize.
- Collaborative: You thrive in cross-functional teams (Security, DevOps, Development) and can explain complex tech simply.
- Proactive and pragmatic: You spot problems before they happen and solve them efficiently.
- Nice-to-Haves
- Languages: Fluent in English (mandatory); French/Dutch is a plus.
- Education/Certs: Master’s degree (or equivalent experience). TOGAF, ITIL, or Agile certifications are a bonus.
