This service offer, deeply rooted in the circular economy, will meet organizations’ demands for more flexible and sustainable device as service solutions. We offer complete technology lifecycle management solutions that includes reconditioning at the end of the contract to give devices a second life. The alliance brings together BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions, the European leader in the financing of professional equipment, and 3stepIT, an expert in the field of sustainable management of IT equipment. BNP Paribas 3 Step IT currently operates in Europe, with further expansion planned as part of an ambitious Growth Plan.

We are currently looking for a (senior) Account Manager to accelerate our sales and growth in the market. The purpose of the role is to generate new sales and contribute to the growth of the BNP Paribas 3 Step IT business in Belgium & Netherlands by proactively working with strategic IT Channel partners as well as BNP Paribas Banking network to onboard new large corporate customers. 

In this position you will report to our Country Sales Manager BeNe who will be working closely with this position. 


Main responsibilities & tasks:

  • Build, develop and execute a sales strategy that is designed to win new customers in the assigned target market, then monitor, drive and develop the accounts on long-term
  • Leverage on the deep client portfolio of BNP Paribas to convince IT Channel partners (IT integrators, manufacturers, distributors or Telco operators) to team up with us and distribute our solutions
  • Use consultative sales approach to define priorities, identify partner/customer needs and propose our Technology Lifecycle Management solutions
  • Ongoing contact with customers and internal teams to solve problems, answer questions and create added value
  • Research, develop and present compelling and tailored sales proposals
    • to execute the agreed sales strategy for the business
    • to contribute to the development of the overall sales strategy where appropriate
    • to manage customers/prospect relationships and to develop new business opportunities in line with objectives set by senior management from time to time
    • to fully use and utilize CRM to manage activity, contact strategy and relationships 
    • to achieve agreed sales targets in terms of volume and gross margin
  • Demonstrate BNPP  3 Step IT’s services and concept to customers / partners / key stakeholders 
  • Develop relations with top decision makers (typically director or C-level) and seek to strengthen customer relationship and maximize share of wallet
  • Negotiate contract terms, prices and services        
  • Drive the sales territory, identify key targets, prioritize prospects and engage at a senior level using a range of sales and account management skills
  • Provide accurate forecasting and maintain an up to date record of all opportunities in CRM
  • Contribute to the operational process of Client Due Diligance (CDD) and to the collecting, processing, and updating of client information, according to Leasing Solutions’ KYC policy and applicable laws & regulations implementing Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (CFT) measures.

 

About the IT Channel environment:

IT integrators, distributors, manufacturers, Telco providers, …. 

Specific activities with this target market;

  • Identify key stakeholders from targeted players in order to convince them to team up to build their Device as a Service “DaaS” model;
  • Sell them our top-notch delivery level and ability to support them executing meaningful mandates;
  • Interact with key stakeholders from top management to local sales;
  • Be creative to offer bespoke solutions in conjunction with their own development strategy.

 

About BNP Paribas banking network:

BNP Paribas Fortis & CIB…. 

Specific activities to become top mind in terms of product offering for the bankers;

  • Work with the coverage teams to raise awareness of our solutions, gain their trust and build their confidence in you;
  • To design a strategy and go to market plans that identifies, engages and converts prospects into customers;
  • Conduct reviews with the bankers and senior management team to monitor the agreed KPI’s;
  • Meet their clients to identify customer needs and position BNP Paribas 3 Step IT as the preferred way to manage the Lifecycle of their IT.

 

Work experience & education:

  • Bachelor's degree (in business, financing or sales related field) or equivalent;
  • 10+ years Solutions sales experience within the IT services or IT Finance / Leasing sector; 
  • Experience of selling direct to key decision makers in business e.g. Financial Director and IT Director level within large corporates;
  • Experience in selling a solutions based product with the ability to:
  • Identify the client’s needs through probing questioning and proactive listening skills;
  • Map a solution against a need;
  • Experience from working with international customers.

Skills & competences:

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English, French and Dutch;
  • Excellent selling, positioning and negotiation skills. Ability to utilize solutions-oriented, systematic approach to selling and mastery of sales best practices; 
  • Good teamwork and interpersonal skills;
  • Act in ways that demonstrate customer focus and satisfaction by building effective relationships with customers, identifying, meeting and exceeding customer expectations, and by treating customers with dignity and respect;
  • Have a genuine interest in developing professional relationships;
  • In-depth knowledge of given industry and relevant marketplace; can speak with authority, e.g., on industry trends, best practices, competitive practices, regulatory issues, etc.;
  • Ability to draft agreements in English and document commercial proposals.
