About Business line/Function: BNP Paribas Fortis is one of the largest payment processors in Europe. New and existing IT technologies are being developed and maintained out of Tribe Payments in Brussels following the agile methodology.  Our teams work in multi-cultural and empowered squads who deliver new functionalities and enhancements on a frequent basis.

The mission of the Tribe Payments is to grow as a reliable and cost-efficient payment service provider for customers of BNP Paribas Group worldwide, whilst implementing innovative technologies and payment products.

Position Purpose: In this role you will be part of the SPTS (Specific Payments & Transversal Services) squad with colleagues in Chennai and Belgium.  The squad is responsible for the development and maintenance of a key payment application of BNP Paribas Fortis.  It works in an agile mode with daily huddles and frequent production releases, whilst maintaining high quality standards.

The squad is part of Tribe Payments with its main management in Belgium at BNP Paribas Fortis, a sister company of ISPL. 

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

·       As member of the SPTS (Specific Payments & Transversal Services) squad you participate to the analysis, design, development, integration, test and support of qualitative Payment’s products, solutions and services in Java technology.

·       Ensure together with the other squad members the implementation of Swagger APIs, maintenance and future improvements.

·       Document the solutions.

·       Understand the needs of the business and translate these needs into functional and technical analyses. These analyses are the input for the software developers.

·       Assist the testers in test sets, creating test scenarios and solving complex defects

Contributing Responsibilities

·       Assist the squad product owner to refine the business requirements into functional and technical requirements via Features and User Stories.

·       Collaborate with other squads at Tribe Payments and other Tribes within BNPP group.

·       Ensure the 3rd line support.

·       Provide support to the production team in case of incidents.

·       Actively promote the T-shaping in the Squad by passing on your own knowledge to colleagues and taking on other tasks yourself if necessary.

·       You stand guard over quality and organization.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

Specific Qualifications:

·       You have a bachelor or master degree in IT and at least 7 years of experience

·       Fluent English is mandatory (oral and written)

Technical Skills:

o   Business experience

§  Knowledge and experience of banking and payment products.

§  Experience in process analysis of payments requirements.

o   Functional Analysis

§  Knowledge of analysis methodology

o   Technical experience

§  Functional and technical knowledge involving Distributed systems built with Java.

§  Knowledge and experience in building Swagger APIs.
