Junior Fund Accounting Reconciliation Specialist
Depositary Fund Accounting Department is part of BSO global domain of BNP Paribas providing fiduciary services mainly to institutional clients. Our team plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our clients' assets, and our main goal is to provide a comprehensive and reliable service that supports the safekeeping and settlement of client assets. The diverse range of financial instruments and investments held in our clients' portfolios offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with various market practices and financial products. As a member of our team, you will have the chance to develop a deep understanding of the financial markets and instruments, as well as improve your accounting skills and knowledge of balance sheet management. You will also have the opportunity to interact with a wide range of market players, including financial institutions, custodians, and other industry professionals, which will help you build a strong understanding of how financial markets operate in practice
Requirements:
- Graduate or pursuing last years of studies on university
- Demonstrating high level of written and spoken communication skills in English, German is an additional advantage
- Basic knowledge of financial instruments and capital markets,
- Nice to have knowledge of applications (e.g. Multifonds, NeoLink, Bloomberg, Intellimatch)
- Deep commitment, motivation and teamwork, capability to work in dynamic environment
- Good PC literacy and command of MS Office
Responsibilities:
As a member of the Team, you will be responsible for:
- Safekeeping of Client Assets: Ensure the safekeeping of client assets and their settlement in custody, in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Settlement Discrepancy Resolution: Query and resolve settlement discrepancies with various financial institutions on the fund industry market, ensuring timely and accurate settlement of client assets.
- Payment Investigation: Investigate payments related to OTC products, fund fees, corporate actions, and other market events, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Client Inquiry Response: Respond to inquiries from internal and external clients, providing timely and accurate information and resolving any issues that may arise
- Supporting of accounting and NAV Production: Keep proper accounting of cash and stock portfolio records as part of NAV building, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial records.
- Derivatives Contracts and Margins Reconciliation: Reconcile derivatives contracts' and margins' settlements, investigating any discrepancies or issues that may arise.
