Hierarchy

Direct dependence on the COO being part of the N-1 team above the Executive Committee. Under his management and responsibility would be the departments of Claims, Administration, Customer Service and Procurement&Oursourcing into Iberia perimeter (Spain & Portugal).

Mission

As Head of Operations for Cardif Iberia, you are responsible for serving partners and insured customers ensuring the quality of the activities and agreed operational management and ensuring optimization, implementation and monitoring of the company’s strategic operational processes. In addiction ensuring lead the design and ensuring operational efficiency according to the policies, rules and standards set by the Company. 

You are also responsible for leading the transformation of the operational model of the Company regarding market developments and business strategy being involved in strategical discussions and decisions.

Responsibilities

  1. Ensure the proper functioning and quality of the Cardif Administration, Customer Service and Claims Departments, ensuring adequate, fluid and effectiveness for external and internal customers.
  2. Support the development, transformation, implementation and coordination of the projects or GPS agreed by Cardif Iberia, as well as to ensure the correct functioning of the tools used in whole area.
  3. Support the growth and consolidation of Cardif Iberia as regards the Operations Department, and to share knowledge and best practices of the market, incorporating those interesting for a better consolidation of local activity.
  4. Establish controls to detect fraud and/or money laundering, verifying the detailed monitoring of the rules on money laundering established by the BNP Paribas Group and/or the local regulations.
  5. Ensure compliance with the requirements set out in the custody and transmission of information processes (in particular with regard to the GDPR).
  6. Manage and motivate team members, clearly defining the responsibilities and objectives of the employees in his charge, monitoring their performance and evolution, identifying training plans and communicating clearly the strategic orientations of the company. Good extradepartmental relational skills are also necessary for this position.
  7. Participate in the definition of human resources management, through the discussion, formulation and implementation of policies and people management practices. Also, taking the responsibility for the quality of working environment, both its own area as the company as a whole.
  8. Represent the company and Ops with collaborators/associates/customers at those wvents for which it was required.
  9. Ensure that the process of screening sanctions to the customer database is carried out in a complete and timely according to the Local Automatic Screening Procedure.


Position requirements

  • University studies related with Business Administration, Administration, or similar.
  • Master's or Post Graduate in Operations or Business administration will be highly valuable.
  • 5 years of experience in positions of Head of Operation into insurance companies. Knowledge of information systems related topics and Agile/Lean.
  • People management will be an essential requirement.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Good analytical skills, Excellent formal and informal communication skills.
