At a glace

The team is part of a global support group to manage daily risk production for credit bureaus, FX rates and exchanges; Including early-day risk, actual business risk and PnL explains.
There are over 1000 users of the system.

The support team is in constant communication with developers, traders, intermediary teams and support teams aligned to the office.
The environment in which we work can be noisy, with frequent and sometimes stressful interruptions.
Such a demanding environment requires a high level of flexibility, patience and trust.
The role can be very rewarding, but it will require a high level of commitment to move quickly.

The team works closely with its global counterparts, providing sun support, 24x7 [including weekend oncall] and you should be involved in the rotation of office hours (evenings, weekends and holiday coverage).
The business line is state-of-the-art and very dynamic and we operate in an environment adapted to their changing needs.

Team members have the opportunity to broaden their understanding of GM activity and how the front office works.
It is also possible to learn the different technologies used.

 

In detail

 

  • Troubleshoot trade capture, booking, settlements, and trade breaks issues and provide timely resolution
  • Provide level 1 and 2 support for Murex application, on-site
  • Effectively escalate to development teams for level 3 support 
  • Create and maintain documentation 
  • Must be able to multitask and take ownership on multiple items until resolution
  • Facilitate proper communication to the business users and clients
  • Work on a shift rotation using a follow-the-sun support model, handing off Mumbai and receiving hand-offs from Paris 
  • Available on-call for after-hours support on a rotational basis
  • Inbox monitoring and batch operations
  • Answer client calls and requests
  • Participate in incident management follow ups and resolutions
  • Answer external client calls, provide technical and functional support to all in-house applications


Work conditions: This position provides for standard working conditions in an office and a normal work schedule from Monday to Friday. This position requires little travel.

List of required competencies

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
  • Strong understanding of the trade process
  • Strong UNIX scripting / development
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Strong background using Microsoft products (Specifically Excel & Outlook)
  • FTP, SFTP, FTPS, CFT file transfer setup knowledge
  • Given the vast majority of our clients, both internal and external, are based outside of Quebec and Canada, specific language requirements may apply. Knowledge of French and English is required.
