Description
Position Purpose
Managing Tax Compliance for BNP Paribas Securities India Private Limited (SIPL).
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
- Compliance with Direct and Indirect tax laws i.e. Income Tax & GST
- Filing of monthly/quarterly/annual returns for TDS & Income Tax
- Handling Transfer Pricing Study, Transfer Pricing Audits and Tax Audits as per the Income Tax Act
- Computation & Payment of Quarterly Advance Income Tax
- Filing of GSTR1 & GSTR3B. Reconciliation with GSTR2A.
- Annual GST Return filing
- Managing submissions for Income Tax & GST Assessments, Orders, notices etc issued by the Income Tax & GST Authorities
- Responsible for robust operational and accounting controls for all the process, payments, returns etc and ensure compliance with tax controls as per group norms
- Keeping track on the progress of Income Tax Assessments & providing status update on all tax related topics
- To ensure that all controls are well performed with audit trail
- Help with Financial Accounting for Local Financial Reporting as per INDAS and hand hold the Statutory Audit

Technical & Behavioral Competencies
Technical
- Expert Knowledge of Direct and Indirect Tax Laws
- Experience in filing all Tax Returns – Income Tax, TDS and GST
- Income Tax and GST Assessment submissions
- Knowledge of finance related processes. Ideally with a background / some experience with financial controls, financial and management accounting and performance management
- Knowledge of Atlas II, Dolphin, SAP
- Demonstrated expertise in Financial and Management Accounting, including knowledge of Indian/Global accounting standards and guidelines
- Strong analytical ability
