Position Purpose |
Supporting the equity research analysts in various sectors with the aim of regular timely and commercial research reports and recommendations on stocks for institutional investors. |
Responsibilities |
Direct Responsibilities
· Support research analyst covering stocks in designated Chinese sectors - Build and maintain financial earnings models on stocks under coverage with the purpose of providing regular, timely and commercial investment recommendations to clients; - Assist in writing timely and commercial research reports on the sectors and stocks covered; - Build and maintain industry databases in the relevant industries covered; - Maintain regular interaction with the managements of companies covered and with relevant industry experts; · Produce equity research based on critical and thorough analysis · Responsible for the implementation of operational permanent control policies and procedures in day to day business activities · Escalate any operational, compliance/legal and HR issues to line manager / compliance appropriately. · Permanent Control Aspects - Direct contribution to BNPP operational permanent control framework. - Contribute to the implementation of operational permanent control policies and procedures in day-to-day business activities, such as Control Plan - Comply with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines - Contribute to the reporting of all incidents according to the Incident Management System - Ensure audit recommendations are resolved within the specific timeline.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies |
· Strong analytical abilities and knowledge of accounting, earnings model building. · Thorough understanding of accounting, financial metrics and valuation techniques · Strong communication abilities in Mandarin and English · Detailed knowledge of the sector under coverage would be an added advantage · Be a team player and collaborate with other members of the research team and support other GBLs

Specific Qualifications (if required) |
- Securities practitioner qualification is a must; - Securities Research Analyst certificate is a must - Professional Qualification (eg CFA) shall be an added advantage
