At BNP Paribas Fortis, we’re looking for a Senior Relationship Manager to join our Belgian Corporates team within Corporate Coverage Belgium (CCB).

In this role, you’ll act as the trusted banking partner for large Belgian companies (turnover > €250M), offering tailored financial solutions, from financing and investments to cash management while coordinating with internal and international specialists. You’ll manage your own portfolio, ensure compliance, and drive business growth in line with our strategic goals.

As a Senior Relationship Manager, you’ll be the central point of contact for your clients, bridging their needs with our bank’s expertise. 

Your responsibilities include:

• Client relationship management: Building and maintaining strong relationships across all levels of your clients’ organizations.
• Proactive advisory: Identifying opportunities to offer financial services (e.g., financing, investments, cash management) and collaborating with in-house specialists (Debt Markets, Global Markets, Advisory, etc.) to deliver seamless solutions.
• Credit management: Leading credit requests, from analysis (with Credit Analysis) to structuring and validation in credit committees while monitoring portfolio risk.
• Compliance & coordination: Ensuring adherence to KYC (Know Your Customer) and BNP Paribas regulations, supported by commercial assistants and legal/compliance teams.
• Strategic collaboration: Working under a dual-coverage model with Senior Bankers/Client Directors for key accounts, and liaising with international BNP Paribas teams to serve multinational clients.
    

Your environment Corporate Coverage Belgium (CCB) focuses on large corporates and international clients with complex needs. You’ll join a dynamic team that values tailored solutions, cross-border collaboration, and sustainable business practices supported by our Sustainable Business Competence Center and global BNP Paribas network.

YOUR TALENTS AND COMPETENCES

• A Master’s degree in Economics, Engineering, Law, or a related field, combined with proven experience in corporate banking or financial services.
• Fully bilingual  (Dutch & English), fluent in French and strong commercial/negotiation skills.
• A client-centric mindset: Motivated by relationship-building, even in challenging situations, with the ability to influence and persuade.
• Technical expertise: Knowledge of specialized banking solutions and a structured approach to risk, compliance, and complex files.
• Interpersonal strengths: Extraverted, independent, and dynamic, with a talent for networking and fostering functional relationships.
