VIE - Compliance Officer – Bucharest, M/F 

Your daily routine ? 

In our entity located in Bucharest you are exposed and involved in all areas of compliance, and you practice different topics, tasks and daily controls. 

In particular, you ensure the follow-up of transactions and customers. Thus, you proceed to the examination of the "Know your Customer" files. You manage alerts related to anti-money laundering (AML), market integrity and sanctions. You also carry out professional ethics checks (processing of personal accounts, conflicts of interest, gifts and invitations, etc.). 

Finally, you develop, optimize and configure compliance applications.

The Compliance function ensures compliance with legislative and regulatory provisions, professional and ethical standards as well as the orientations of the Board of Directors, instructions from General Management, procedures and the protection of the Group's reputation. It is present on five continents and brings together more than 2,000 employees in the Group's operational entities. 

You will join a changing function that regulatory, geopolitical and societal developments place more and more at the crossroads of the bank's strategy and daily action. Joining Compliance means discovering how all activities work from a different angle. More than a risk and control function, Compliance is above all an advisory and support function for which the development of prevention and awareness are essential issues. 

Our Compliance department with its 3 colleagues is located in Bucharest, Romania. By being part of Compliance Romania you will join a committed and competent team that is and has been a leader or pilot for many of the BNPP Group projects. 

The next steps ?  

This experience will allow you to familiarize yourself with the regulatory and compliance environment of the bank. 

You will use the compliance tools essential to the fight against money laundering and the financing of terrorism and you will also become familiar with compliance with sanctions and embargoes. You will develop an excellent knowledge of the compliance business. You will acquire financial skills in an international and multidisciplinary environment. 

With all this knowledge, you will be able to pursue your career in our group in Compliance functions or also in General Inspection.

Are you our next VIE ? 

You have a Master degree from a University or a Business school, majoring in Law or Economics. 

You have a solid compliance and risk knowledge. You have gained first experience (internships and work-study program included) in this area.   

You speak fluent English.
