Within BNP Paribas Cardif, the “Data & AI” department significantly contributes to the strategic ambition of making BNP Paribas Cardif an analytics-driven company. The development of Analytics is identified as one of the pillars of Cardif's strategy. To achieve its goals in Artificial Intelligence, the Domino Datalab platform was deployed in Cardif and over a hundred data scientists in more than 30 countries use it to develop "models" written in Python to optimize the country's business processes.

Transversal Analytics Solutions (TAS).

The development and consolidation of those AI solutions require a platform that fulfils the requirements (that most of the countries have in common) of the data science models. For example: document recognition, voice-to-text transcription, model monitoring needs, data storage, etc. To offer “off-the-shelf” solutions in Cardif and to pool skills, generic solutions have been created: Transversal Analytics Solutions (TAS) - A generic IT application offering the desired service. These IT applications are developed in Java depending on the case, exposing the needed interfaces (REST API, web UI, etc) according to the client’s needs.

Position Purpose: 

Cloud developer

The candidate will participate in the development of the internal technical base and the definition of the software architecture of the TAS. TAS uses Java as a technical base as well as recent cloud technologies. The in-depth mastery of these technologies associated with a detailed knowledge of TAS are essential to ensure their development over the long term.

In order to strengthen our ability to create and maintain new solutions, we are looking for a Java Cloud technical expert within the TAS team. To build a strong relationship with development teams

to understand the code, its dependencies, and the infrastructure on which it runs. For this, we are looking for someone with extensive technical knowledge, working in any subject (development, operations, security, architecture, infrastructure, network, storage) and capable of learning to constantly master new technologies.
