Department: GPCO , ISPL 

About Business line/Function: Banking and Financial Operations

Position Purpose:  The Cash Investigations Officer is responsible to handle, manage and follow-up claims and queries regarding cash flows across several locations. The role deals with internal clients, counterparts and cash correspondents, being also responsible for dealing with several departments with Cash Management activities.

Responsibilities

Direct and Contributing Responsibilities

▪ Provide solutions and operational/market assistance, as well as accurate and useful operational insight to internal clients and teams.

▪ Perform Banking reconciliation.

▪ Communicate with correspondents and counterparts.

▪ Ensure that the investigation of any claim related to cash flows, either from clients or from counterparts, is solved within the desirable time frame, while assuring a quality support during the process.

▪ Follow the activity closely, i.e. monitoring volumes evolution, workloads, recurring issues and present solutions as well as ideas for improvement.

▪ Support management in all operational activity and also on the transversal projects when required.

▪ Actively participate in all projects developed within the Department and BNPP Portugal.

▪ Monitor, report and mitigate the operational risk for all cases that the team is involved.

▪ Provide suggestions to improve processes and procedures.
