About Business line/Function:

Market and Financing Services (MFS) business line provides a range of solutions to support the increasingly sophisticated requirements of institutional investors, alternative asset managers and financial intermediaries. These include Securities Lending (Agency and Principal), Foreign Exchange (On demand FX, Auto FX, Passive Currency Overlay), Triparty Service and a variety of Financing solutions.

Position Purpose

§   The Associate and Associate Level 1 positions will be responsible for carrying out daily, weekly and monthly tasks related to Quality and Control Process. These roles will involve working on various reports that serve as controls for the operations teams.

§  The selected candidates will report to the Assistant Manager in Chennai and will collaborate closely with all internal teams, as well as Paris and local management, as part of their daily business activities. A strong functional understanding of the Security Lending Business and proficiency in Excel are required for these positions.

Responsibilities

 

Direct Responsibilities

 

§   BAU Tasks: It is important to prioritize reporting tasks effectively and efficiently. Success will be measured based on the productivity and effectiveness documented in the checklist.

§   Timelines: Ensure that the candidate adhere to the timelines for BAU, ad hoc requests, and queries for both internal and external stakeholders.

§   Exception Handling: All exceptions that arise during the process should be thoroughly analyzed and addressed. It is crucial that no exceptions are overlooked in any process.

§   Projects: Individuals are expected to diligently follow up on all assigned projects, take full ownership, and work towards successful delivery.

§   Compliance: There is a zero-tolerance policy regarding Birdies (both financial and non-financial).

 

Contributing Responsibilities

 

§   Escalating exceptions to the appropriate processing team for resolution.

§   Reporting exceptions in accordance with internal controls and external client requirements.

§   Contributing to the overall success of the team.

§   Conducting regular checks on activities outlined in SOPs and ensuring timely updates of procedures on the Global portal before their expiration, while maintaining completeness.

§   Performing thorough error checks to identify any incidents and ensure that the reporting manager is notified with a comprehensive write-up of any incidents.

§   Participating in the training of new team members, ensuring they receive complete training on process flows, logic, BAU activities, and any specific tasks as needed.

§  Familiarity with the end-to-end steps involved in generating Daily, Weekly, Bi-weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual reports, as well as presentations. This expertise will assist management with any future communications or follow-ups.
