Job Title: Team Leader Functional
Department: Banking IT
About Business line/Function: Core Banking
Position Purpose: We are looking for an experienced, motivated and operational Team Leader to guide a team of QA Engineer / Tester working on a high-performance, real-time Java / Kafka / Kubernetes platform. The ideal candidate is a leader with strong expertise in the organization, execution, and automation of tests (functional, performance, etc.) to ensure the reliability and scalability of all developed services. Excellent organizational and communication skills, and at least two years of experience in a similar leadership role are required.
You will work closely with developers, architects, and end-users to validate performance, functionality, and overall user experience. This includes coordinating end-user acceptance tests (UAT) and leading performance benchmarking for a mission-critical system handling large data volumes in real time.
The project focuses on cash accounts, loro & nostro accounts management, including account balance management, account statements generation, and potential interest calculation logic.
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate a team of Techno Functional testers.
Design, execute, and maintain functional test plans and test cases aligned with business and technical requirements.
Organize and lead end-user acceptance testing (UAT) sessions with internal and external stakeholders.
Define and conduct performance, load, and stress tests on Java / Kafka / Kubernetes components.
Collaborate with development teams to identify root causes and validate fixes.
Automate regression and performance tests using appropriate frameworks and tools.
Ensure integration of tests within CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
Provide clear and consistent test documentation and reporting to technical and business teams.
Monitor key performance indicators and proactively recommend optimizations.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and act as a quality advocate within the team. Contributing Responsibilities

Technical & Behavioral Competencies
Minimum 4+ years of experience as a Test Leader in software testing, preferably on distributed or high-performance systems.

Technical Skills:
· Strong understanding of functional, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT) methodologies.
· Hands-on experience with performance testing tools.
· Familiarity with Java-based applications, Kafka, and Kubernetes.
· Good understanding of test automation frameworks and scripting languages.
· Experience integrating tests within CI/CD pipelines.
· Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
· Excellent communication skills in English and ability to work effectively in an international team.
· Experience with monitoring tools.
· Exposure to microservices and real-time streaming architectures.
· Knowledge of API testing.
· Prior experience collaborating directly with end-users or business stakeholders.
