Job Title:  Mainframe developer  - ITPS

About Business line/Function: 

IT Payment Services department, the worldwide reference for payments in the BNP Paribas Group. We are working on the many applications used worldwide using various technologies and working in Agile methodology.

Position Purpose: 

This position is for Senior Developers for IT systems on Payments and Cash Management for the BNPP Group 

·       Participating in the design and development

·       Technical Analysis to provide modification and enhancements 

·       Testing and fixing bugs or other coding issues

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities:

·       Study and understand the business requirements

·       Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions

·       Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications

·       Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency

·       Adhere to the standards and practices followed in the Project

·       Good problem-solving skills.

·       Attention to detail.

·       Write technical documentation

Contributing Responsibilities:

·       Team player 

·       Adhere to the standards and practices followed in the Project

·       Communicate with the cross teams and perform the integration testing of the code developed

·       Deliver and Deploy the unit tested code into the Non Production environments (DEV, IST, UAT, etc.) 

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

Technical Skills

·       Atleast 5 years of working experience in Mainframe development 

·       Experience in COBOL programming (minimum 5 years)  

·       Experience with Mainframe, JCL, DB2  

·       Knowledge of banking products is nice to have

·       Knowledge in reporting format (camt, mt, …)

·       Experience in proposing / designing technical solutions  

·       Experience in creating technical specifications  

·       Experience in drafting / implementing the test plan 

·       Extensive experience in technical management of online and batch applications

·       Good understanding of mainframe architecture (hardware, OS, networking, databases, middleware)

·       experience with integration using different technologies (distributed/mainframe) and infra components
