About BNP Paribas Corporate and Institutional Banking in Mexico
BNP Paribas Corporate and Institutional Banking has maintained a representative office in Mexico since 1966. Over the years, BNP Paribas has significantly contributed to financing Mexico's progression into the 21st century. Notably, BNP Paribas was one of the founding members of Banco Nacional de Mexico (Banamex), one of the largest banks in Mexico, and held a minority share until the nationalization of the banking system in 1982. Additionally, BNP Paribas had established its presence in Mexico over fifty years ago, serving as a key shareholder in Banco del Atlántico until 1982.
In 2021, BNP Paribas Mexico expanded its operations by initiating a fully operational Mexican bank to better cater to its clients through local operations that include global market activities. The AATP (or Analysts & Associates Training Programme) is an exciting program which facilitates the entrants of recent graduates into financial markets by giving them exposure to trading. During the programme, the graduate analyst will benefit from learning and development opportunities, networking events and mentoring. All along the program, the graduate analyst will: 1) Acquire knowledge of the activities that she/he is discovering, 2) Learn and use technical and tools of hers/his domain, 3) Create hers/his internal network and start building solid working relationship with her/his stakeholders, 4) Build a risk awareness culture.
As a Graduate associate in FICC Sales, Mexico, you will provide sales coverage for FICC products, serving Mexico-based corporate and institutional clients as well as Latam-based supranational clients. This role involves assisting in the management of client relationships, supporting strategic sales initiatives, and coordinating closely with internal teams to help deliver best-in-class solutions. You will contribute to the execution of client transactions, develop a strong understanding of market dynamics, and work closely with senior colleagues to enhance the bank’s capabilities and market presence in Mexico.
Responsibilities:
- Client Coverage & Relationship Support
- Support senior sales staff in providing market insights, trade ideas, and execution services across FICC products to both corporate and institutional clients.
- Assist in managing key client relationships, acting as a reliable point of contact for day-to-day inquiries and trade support.
- Contribute to client acquisition and retention efforts by supporting strategic initiatives and preparing client materials.
- Coordinate with internal teams to align coverage efforts and help ensure a consistent client experience.
- Promote the bank’s research by highlighting relevant publications to clients and facilitating access to research analysts.
- Product Knowledge & Execution Support
- Execute and monitor client transactions across FICC products with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Identify basic trade ideas and client solutions under the guidance of senior team members.
- Support the promotion and usage of the banks electronic trading platforms, assisting clients with onboarding and platform usage.
- Partner with trading desks to facilitate smooth execution, ensuring compliance with internal processes and controls.
- Team Contribution & Development
- Take an active role in learning about FICC markets, client needs, and the bank’s full product suite.
- Participate in client onboarding processes and support relationship managers with administrative and operational tasks.
- Collaborate with team members across locations to share information and support sales initiatives.
- Business Development & Revenue Enablement
- Assist in resource coordination and follow-ups to ensure timely delivery of materials, trade ideas and client responses.
- Help identify opportunities to introduce clients to relevant products or services offered by other teams within the bank (cross-selling)
