Join the high-impact EQD Research Application Support team within Global Markets, where you’ll play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the internal market data, referential, pricing, and grid computation applications which are backbone of our trading systems.

In this hybrid production‑support and business‑analyst role you’ll translate complex business needs into scalable and performant solutions while continuously keeping the platform stable. A core part of the job is deep code‑reading and code‑understanding to troubleshoot issues, pinpoint root causes and implement effective work‑arounds, all while communicating clearly with front‑office, middle‑office and IT teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain 24/7 availability: continuously monitor system health, performance metrics and alerts. Act proactively to prevent downtime.
  • Resolve live production issues: troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, implement effective work‑arounds and permanent fixes. Keep stakeholders updated with regular communication.
  • End‑to‑end change delivery: analyze functional and technical requirements, design solutions, execute QA & user‑acceptance testing, and manage smooth production deployments.
  • Documentation and standardization: produce comprehensive technical and functional documentation.
  • Uphold operational excellence: follow BNPP’s incident, problem, and change management standards to ensure compliance and reliability.
  • Embrace 24/7 mindset: participate in a support roster, including shift work, weekends, and public holidays, to ensure business continuity.

Technical and Functional skills:

  • Experience and qualification: up to 5years of experience, holding a bachelor’s or master’s degree - preferably in Computer Science, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Programming: proficient in Python and databases (sql and no-sql). Experience with Go, Rust and Java is desirable.
  • Linux/Unix expertise: hands-on experience in command-line troubleshooting and system administration.
  • DevOps and monitoring: familiarity with automation, CI/CD, and observability tools, including Ansible, Jenkins, Grafana, Prometheus, and OpenSearch.
  • Capital markets knowledge: understanding of Equities and Derivatives to better support the applications.
  • Problem-solving prowess: ability to debug complex issues, identify patterns, and implement fixes under pressure.
  • Agile and adaptive: a quick learner who can master new tools, languages, and technologies on the fly.
