Job Title: Client Regulations – Associate
Department: Client Engagement & Financial Security Ops
About Business line/Function:
Client Engagement & Financial Security (CEFS) encompasses comprehensive client due diligence for existing and new clients, seamless end-to-end KYC management for C100, and robust screening capabilities across various business lines and geographies. It acts as the go-to platform for efficient fund creation (NLE) and leverages the expertise of accredited Senior KYC Officers to ensure high-quality standards. CEFS also supports Fenergo Data Quality Management and leads the innovative Trigger Event Automation initiative to enhance KYC recertification.
Additionally, CEFS manages critical reference data setup and maintenance, delivering global support for Client Accounts, Signatories, SSI’s, and Holiday Calendars. It provides audit confirmation statements and regulatory support on client services. CEFS conducts thorough post-facto monitoring and investigations to detect suspicious activities related to money laundering and terrorist financing, while optimizing Actimize Screening Tool capabilities. Lastly, it establishes premium Client Relationship Management (OCRM) in ISPL to deepen relationships with T20 & C100 clients, facilitating operational excellence and partnering on strategic matters to drive mutual growth and success.
Position Purpose:
Regulatory Onboarding, Recertification and Support to perform remediation exercises
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
Regulatory Onboarding and Support
· Facilitating and follow up with client onboarding
· Tackling regulatory blocks that prevent trading
· Addressing queries from clients, traders, marketers and relationship managers
Regulatory Remediation Exercises
Ensuring our existing clients comply by the regulatory enforcement date
To achieve Regulatory Onboarding and Regulatory Remediation Exercises, the Client Management Regulations team aims at:
· Preparing the necessary regulatory materials to dispatch to clients
· BNPP offers and positions (i.e. encourage signature of ISDA protocols).
· Remediating any pending items necessary to meet regulatory requirements by their compliance dates and minimize any trading disruption with our valued clients
· Reaching out to our clients to ensure they have completed the necessary documentation:
· Following counterparties adherence to ISDA protocols / Representation Letters
· For clients who did not sign the ISDA protocol, pushing on bespoke legal documentation
· Addressing potential requests from regulators
· Working with the different functions involved in this regulatory compliance effort (such as Business Management, Legal and UK & US counterparts)
Contributing Responsibilities
Anticipating the new rules / change of rules to come (Regulatory Oversight)
· Contributing to the Permanent Control Framework
· Contributing to the alignment of procedures across the regions
· Contributing to a Global Compliance Status update and KPIs
· Proven experience in tax compliance, particularly with FATCA (Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act) and AEOI (Automatic Exchange of Information).
· Strong knowledge of CFTC (Commodity Futures Trading Commission) and EMIR (European Market Infrastructure Regulation) regulations.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Specific Qualifications:
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience along with Bachelor's Degree - in management, commerce, finance, science, economics, related field or equivalent experience.
• Prior experience in similar domain.
