Job Title: Inputter / Analyst (Associate) 

Department: Wealth Management – Operations (FX/FX Derivatives/CLI/Interbank MM)

About Business Line/Function

The Wealth Management (WM) – FX Operations team is responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle management of Foreign Exchange (FX) instruments, including Spot, NDF, FX Derivatives, and Interbank Money Market (MM) trades. This function ensures the accurate processing, settlement, and reconciliation of client and bank FX transactions, including specialized products such as Bullion (Gold/Silver) and CLI. The team plays a vital role in managing liquidity and ensuring timely settlement across multiple booking centers (SG, HK, and TW).

Position Purpose 

The Inputter / Analyst is responsible for the efficient execution and data integrity of FX-related trade lifecycles. The role focuses on the accurate input of non-interfaced trades, the preparation of settlement instructions, and the management of SWIFT communications. The Analyst is tasked with monitoring trade reports to identify discrepancies, ensuring timely settlement within strict currency cutoff times, and supporting the operational permanent control framework through meticulous documentation and proactive escalation.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

  • Execute the timely and accurate processing of Client and Bank FX and NDF trades, ensuring operational continuity including during public holidays.
  • Perform manual trade input in the Olympic system for non-interfaced, small-value FX, and DPM FX trades to ensure accurate position reflecting.
  • Provide dedicated processing support for the settlement and lifecycle management of Bullion (Loco London Gold and Silver) FX trades.
  • Monitor FXTOM reports to identify non-interfaced, amended, or error Marginman trades; proactively follow up on or escalate discrepancies.
  • Match client FX trades within FXTOM reports against DPM FX Memos, ensuring all discrepancies are investigated and resolved.
  • Prepare and input fund transfer entries in the Olympic system for the settlement of NDF and BP2S FX trades.
  • Prepare and transmit critical SWIFT messages (including MX pacs.009, MT2XX, MT3XX, and MT6XX) to counterparties for newly incepted trades and settlement instructions.
  • Ensure timely processing of FX bank deals for auto-earmarking in ILMS (SG & HK) and manage accurate manual positioning of funds for ILMS (TW) prior to currency cutoff times.
  • Identify and highlight "NAK" SWIFT messages, trade amendments, cancellations, or new product variations to Management for immediate resolution.
  • Monitor and escalate FX trades that remain unprocessed beyond T+1 and T+2 cycles to mitigate settlement risk.
  • Coordinate efficiently with Relationship Managers (RM), Management Assistants (MA), and Advisory Desks (AD) to resolve trade discrepancies.
  • Perform periodic archiving of trade documents with organized listings for easy retrieval; contribute to team success through staff training and knowledge sharing.
  • Provide essential processing backup to support team members across various regional working days (SG, HK, and TW) and participate in UAT, system upgrades, and ad-hoc projects.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

  • Direct contribution to the BNPP operational permanent control framework and adherence to all internal policies and regulatory guidelines.
  • Active participation in application upgrade projects and system testing (UAT) to drive functional enhancements.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance workflow efficiency and contribute to the implementation of control procedures.

Specific Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in FX Operations, Treasury Operations, or a similar middle-office role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Management, or a related field.
  • Experience in a multi-currency/multi-region environment is highly preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of FX products (Spot, NDF, FX Derivatives) and Bullion markets.
  • Proficiency in SWIFT messaging standards (MT and MX/ISO 20022).
  • Familiarity with settlement systems (Olympic, BP2S) and liquidity management tools (ILMS).

Behavioral Skills

  • High level of accuracy and efficiency in high-pressure, time-sensitive environments.
  • Strong communication skills for effective escalation and stakeholder management.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to provide cross-regional support.
