WHAT DOES THIS LOOK LIKE ON A DAY-TO-DAY BASIS ? 

As an AI Engineer, you will contribute to the transformation of the CPBS (Retail) division of the BNP Paribas Group, notably by promoting the adoption of innovative solutions integrating AI models (NLP and optionally Computer Vision).

Your role and responsibilities will include:

• Acting as a reference point for modelling in the field of NLP (with CV as an option)
• Acting as a reference point for the optimisation of systems that integrate AI components in production (including generative AI)
• Supporting the operational entities of the CPBS division in the delivery of their AI projects (NLP + CV optional)
• Developing and maintaining AI components and services to improve the operational efficiency of bank‑client interactions, in particular for advanced virtual assistants
• Defining and monitoring performance metrics associated with products and services integrating AI models

PACE is a transverse entity within the CPBS division, with a transformation mission aimed at ensuring that our operational entities maintain a high level of excellence in customer experience, as well as the profitability and sustainability of our business models.

You will join the Data & Analytics stream of PACE, dedicated to this transformation mission through the use of AI and mathematical modelling. The stream is made up of around thirty experts, including AI Scientists, AI Engineers and AI Business Analysts.

You will be part of the Language Analytics team, specialised in the design and development of AI‑based products for customer relationship management and the optimisation of operational efficiency for processes involving unstructured data. The team consists of 12 AI experts (AI Scientists and AI Engineers) and works on projects with very high visibility, allowing you to rapidly gain in‑depth knowledge of the Group and its strategic challenges.

The role is based at Palais de Hanovre (75002 Paris), with a hybrid work model of 50% remote work (on‑site on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and alternating Fridays).

ARE YOU OUR NEXT AI ENGINEER?

Yes, if you hold a Master’s degree (or equivalent) and have at least 5 years of experience in Machine Learning on structured data, along with strong expertise in data science and applied mathematics.

You are comfortable with the latest advances in the field (Machine Learning, Optimisation) and their technical implementation (programming). In particular, you are fully capable of defining the appropriate methodology (model, process) to solve a given problem.
