What is this position about?

  • BNP Paribas Korea Corporate Coverage focuses on developing and enhancing BNP Paribas’ relationship with leading Korean companies across a wide range of industries. BNP Paribas offers a broad array of financial products and services including sustainable finance where we are a global leader. 
  • Intern will gain experience in different areas of our business and discover our market-leading products and solutions first hand. The internship is an ideal way of finding out whether a career in Corporate Banking Coverage meets needs and aspirations. 
  • We will give the opportunity to learn about our business from different viewpoints, giving a career advantage. Working on day-to-day business as well as on special projects, will contribute to the success of team to help our customers achieve their financial goals. Will be joining the local team but may be able to work in a very international environment interacting with colleagues around the world.


Direct Responsibilities

  • Support the bankers in their day to day work
  • Work with bankers for ongoing credit requests (Annual Review, ad hoc transactional approvals)
  • Assist in collection of legal, compliance, and Know Your Customer(KYC) documents for due diligence processes for new client onboarding and periodic review and support KYC and due diligence completion
  • Conduct credit, financial, and fundamental research relating to our clients and the sectors in which they operate


Contributing Responsibilities

  • Contribute to preparing pitchbooks, monitoring market & sector developments and assist on ad-hoc commercial projects
  • Monitor potential ESG related risk and agenda of corporate clients, and regularly update the assessment during Annual Review and through ad hoc monitoring
  • Provide regular updates on industry, client-specific developments and market events

Specific Qualifications

  • Strong MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Native / Excellent communication skills in English + Korean
