About the Team
Arval IT is an international IT organization, with a workforce of around 1 000 internal and external professionals located in several countries (France, UK, Netherlands and other). As part of our sourcing strategy, we are expanding our nearshoring capabilities by establishing a new Arval Tech Center in Poland, within an existing business operations shared service center (Arval Competence Center Warsaw, ACCW). This Arval Tech Center plays a strategic role in the development of digital expertise, and internalization of key competencies currently handled by external partners.
Arval Competence Center Warsaw is the latest initiative of the BNP Paribas group, which aims to develop competences and business services. Currently, ACCW employs over 90 people who, every day, in various languages, help Arval Group entities to efficiently serve Clients and Partners. In ACCW, solutions are being created that aim to streamline the customer and supplier verification processes. The center specializes, among others, in credit analyses and KYC analyses, and also performs tasks in the field of HR data administration and internal control.
As part of the strategic initiative of Arval IT teams’ deployment, the Dynamos Tribe is expanding its presence in Poland. The Dynamos Core Leasing Platform (CLS) is the platform being used by Arval Business within 15 countries and 2 competence centers to operate the leasing and mobility solutions of Arval. We provide leasing and mobility solutions to corporations, medium and small companies and individuals. Our IT model is based on agile delivery, with squads working in collaboration with product owners, scrum masters, designers, engineers, testers and technical leads around multiple geographies.
Duties - Responsibilities
As Test Leader for the Dynamos Tribe, you will drive the operational implementation of the test strategy while overseeing the day-to-day coordination of testers across the tribe. Acting as the operational bridge between the Tribe, Business stakeholders, and the Center of Expertise (Quality Engineering & AI4IT), you will ensure alignment with Arval’s quality standards and best practices.
In close collaboration with the Chapter Lead Test, you will:
- Champion Quality Assurance by enforcing best practices and guiding testers to deliver high-quality products.
- Qualify the Tribe’s deliverables through rigorous testing, working hand-in-hand with Business teams for user acceptance validation.
- Foster innovation in testing methodologies, contributing to the Arval Test Managers’ community to continuously improve QA processes.
- Your role is pivotal in scaling operational excellence, adapting the testers’ organization to the Tribe’s evolving challenges, and ensuring compliance with Arval’s quality expectations.
Activities
THE COLLABORATOR WILL BE INVOLVED IN SOME OR ALL OF THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES:
1. Overall Quality
- Execute Arval’s Test Strategy at Tribe level:
- Translate global QA objectives into actionable plans for the Dynamos Tribe.
- Align test activities with Tribe objectives
- In close collaboration with the Chapter Lead Test, you will ensure full alignment with the CoE Quality Engineering and AI4IT
- Ensure Sprint Test Coverage:
- Validate that all user stories have testable acceptance criteria before Sprint Planning.
- Track test execution progress in real-time (Via Jira/Xray dashboards) and escalate risks to Tribe Leadership.
- Sprint Quality Reporting:
- Deliver to stakeholders (Tribe Lead, Product Owners, Business) with:
- Defect trends
- Test automation metrics
- Release readiness.
2. Squad-Level Leadership
- Lead by Example:
- Hands-on testing when required.
- Unblock testers in squads
- Distributed Team Coordination:
- Manage QA resources across several locations
- Ensure consistent test standards across squads
- Process Compliance & Tooling:
- Enforce QA best practices:
- BDD and business oriented
- Tooling: Mandate use of approved stack and reporting tools.
- Communication: Standardize defect descriptions and test status updates.
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA):
- Lead defect triage sessions
- Track RCA outcomes in a shared backlog.
3. Operational & Strategic Improvements
- Test Automation Oversight:
- Monitor automation suite health
- Collaborate with E2E Automation (CoE Quality Engineering & AI4IT)
- Regression Test Enhancement:
- Maintain and increase Regression scope.
- Optimize test data.
