Overview

  • BNP Paribas is one of the largest European banks with ~178,000 employees present in 65 territories including Taiwan.  
  • BNPP Taipei branch was set up in 1981 and is running both CIB (Corporate and Institutional Banking) and WM (Wealth Management) businesses. BNPP Taiwan branches has about 250 employees in Taipei, Taichung and Kaohsiung. 
  • The CIB business includes Global Banking and Global Markets. Credit Transaction Management (“CTM”) is a dedicated Operating Line within CIB ITO Global Banking Operation – Global Credit Operation. It is a part of the 1st line defense in the management of credit risk linked to financial transactions originated by CIB business lines/ Coverage. 
  • Partnering with the whole Credit Chain, CTM ensures the correct implementation of the credit decision and related credit agreement controls from the inception of the credit approval until deal termination.   
  • We are now looking for a dynamic and motivated new teammate to join this team of 2. 


Credit Transaction Management mandates

  • Ensure deal conformity in regard to the Credit Committee decision for credit and counterparty risks and alerts accordingly
  • Ensure deal is in line with Risk Norms/Compliance procedures which with controls assigned to CTM at the time of booking or renewal
  • Strive for operational excellence and client satisfaction by coordinating the actors of the credit chain while respecting Bank’s rules and policies
  • During deal lifecycle, ensure that Business specificities and/ or risk requirements are duly respected until termination. 


Regulatory Reporting Governance (“RR”)

  • Accountable for RR governance on Credit Transaction Management (including Conformity Controls, Data Quality Control, Risk Monitoring).
  • Assist Head of CTM to prepare periodical RR management reporting

 

Permanent Control

  • Responsible for ensuring timely and accurate update of risk data after credit decisions in related systems
  • Responsible for ensuring that terms & conditions of Facility Documents conform to credit decision and legal requirement
  • Responsible for ensuring fulfilment of conditions precedent, control limit availability in systems (Atlas II and CAT) in conformity to credit decisions and documentations, follow up on condition subsequent, documents/temporary waiver
  • To certify/validate the risk data integrity in risk systems (including covenant criteria) , Atlas II, CAT, and CRF, in conformity with credit decision and of risk data related to Guarantors and guarantee records
  • Monitoring of genuine excess or exceptions for both financing métiers products, for capital market products for corporates (based on control result of the Risk I2S team) and for financing lines to Bank/FI (GTS exposures excluded from this scope)
  • To regularly report and monitor any anomalies in legal documentation, collateral shortfall, late annual review overdue or breached covenants, underwriting, put option expiry, watchlist and doubtful assets and alert Risk Corporate, Business Head and Management on any indication of drift of risk profile during the control missions

  • Contribute to successful delivery of systems and control reports enhancement with adequate UATs


Project related

  • Responsible for and contribute to any global/regional/local projects being assigned for example process improvement, outsourcing related topics
  • Dealing with all internal stakeholders for any new products/activities on boarding


Experience required 

  • 2-year experience in the banking/finance sector 
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Know priority and good in time management
  • Self-motivated and capacity to take initiative
  • Capacity to meet objectives and work independently per control framework
