Key Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced Compensation and Benefits Manager to lead and professionalize our HR operations. This role involves optimizing personnel administration, managing payroll, and driving strategic compensation and benefits initiatives. You will also play a critical role in developing streamlined HR processes and policies and compliance with group policies. Native-level French or Dutch and fluent English are essential, along with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
Personnel Administration:
- Oversee the complete flow of personnel administration, including managing time & absences, group & health insurance and company cars.
- Professionalize and streamline personnel administration processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance in employee records.
- Develop and communicate procedures to all employees to guarantee efficient handling of administrative tasks.
- Provide strategic advice on the selection of external partners to build strong partnerships and achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
Process and Policy Management:
- Clarify, streamline, and update people processes and policies, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company standards.
- Offer guidance and training to the people team and other departments on implementing new and existing policies.
- Advise management on social and tax issues, as well as the management of salary costs from a legal perspective, ensuring maximum utilization of public measures.
Payroll Management:
- Manage the payroll process for the organization
- Ensure & improve accurate and timely payroll processing, including taxes, benefits, and deductions, while resolving discrepancies.
- Ensure efficient information flow with the Finance department.
- Coordinate and organize department activities based on priorities, team competencies, and client needs, delivering high-quality service within deadlines.
Compensation and Benefits Projects:
- Design, implement, and manage compensation and benefits programs that align with the company’s strategic goals.
- Conduct market research and benchmarking to ensure competitive compensation packages.
- Oversee annual compensation reviews, salary planning, and bonus administration.
- Initiate and coordinate various compensation and benefits projects in collaboration with internal teams or external organizations to maintain a modern HR strategy.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Use advanced Excel skills to perform in-depth data analysis related to compensation, benefits, and payroll.
- Generate reports and provide insights to support decision-making processes, ensuring data integrity and accuracy in all HR systems.
- Stay informed about developments in the field to continuously enhance service delivery with up-to-date knowledge.
Leadership and Relationship management:
- Lead, motivate, and develop your team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring the department operates smoothly.
- Collaborate closely with other departments to align compensation and benefits strategies with organizational goals.
- Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders on compensation and benefits matters.
Your Skills
- Minimum 10 years of experience in compensation and benefits, payroll management, or a related HR field, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- A proven track record in project management.
- Native-level fluency in French or Dutch, with fluent English.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of Belgian labour law and regulations.
- Experience in managing and developing a team is essential.
