Job Title: Director, Prime Brokerage – Markets Operations
Department: Market Operations
About Business line/Function:
Market Operations are divided into 3 product value chains & 3 cross-business departments. Trade Processing – Listed Derivatives, Securities and Prime and FXMM & OTCD Support are the product chains with Cross Business Lifecycle, Collateral & Treasury Forecasting and Liquidity Monitoring and Valuation & Transversal Services being the cross-department functions.
We aim to streamline processes, ensure service continuity, deliver best-in-class client service, lead innovative operations and foster expertise and innovation among our teams in a rapidly evolving context.
Position Purpose:
Within Markets Operations, this role will serve as the senior manager hands on involvement of all daily activities within the Prime Brokerage Operations Team. In this capacity, the role will guarantee that the department operates efficiently and effectively, while aligning with and advancing the Prime Brokerage strategy and championing operational excellence to satisfy the requirements of both clients and stakeholders involving Cash Payments, Settlements, End to End Lifecycle, Client Onboarding/services, Billing & Relationship Management on the Prime Brokerage Business.

Operational Leadership:
- Ensure the smooth execution of daily operations, including trade execution, settlement, and client support involving Cash Payments, Settlements, End to End Lifecycle, Client Onboarding/services, Billing & Relationship Management on the Prime Brokerage Business.
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Prime Brokerage Operations team.
- Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the overall business objectives.
Process Improvement:
- Identify areas for operational improvement and implement best practices.
- Streamline processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality.
- Monitor and analyze operational metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Risk Management:
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate operational risks.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify and address potential risks.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and provide exceptional service.
- Ensure timely and accurate execution of client trades and settlements.
- Provide regular updates and reports to clients on their portfolio performance and operational activities.
Team Management:
- Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team of operational professionals.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Recruit, hire, and onboard new team members to support departmental growth.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with other departments, including Trading, Finance, and Compliance, to ensure seamless operations.
- Engage with external stakeholders, such as brokers, custodians, and market participants, to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
Performance Management:
- Set performance goals and metrics for the Operations team.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Recognize and reward outstanding performance and contributions.
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
- Minimum of 15+ years of experience in a senior operational role within a financial institution, investment bank and hands on experience in managing prime brokerage operations.
- Expertise in Prime Brokerage (Cash Payments, Settlements, End to End Lifecycle, Client Onboarding/services, Billing & Relationship Management)
- Experience in managing a team of operational professionals.
- Strong knowledge of financial markets, trading operations, and settlement processes.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in risk management and compliance.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to influence multiple stakeholders.
