The Architecture Department at BNP Paribas Fortis is the strategic backbone of our digital transformation.

AND IN DETAIL

• You will design and validate solutions for development frameworks, platforms, and toolchains, enabling Dev Engineers to build and deploy scalable cloud-native applications.
• You will produce and maintain high-quality architecture documentation—including blueprints, solution architectures, and reference architectures—to ensure alignment with architectural standards, security policies, and business requirements.
• You will support other architects and development teams by providing expert guidance on scalable, resilient design patterns and cloud-native best practices.
• You will demystify complex technical concepts (e.g., service mesh, continuous delivery, infrastructure automation) to ensure solutions are secure, performant, and developer friendly.

YOUR TALENTS AND COMPETENCES

• Cloud-Native Development: Deep expertise in designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud-native applications (microservices, containers) with a focus on scalability, resilience, and observability.
• Kubernetes & OpenShift: Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift 
• IBM Cloud Platform: Proficiency in IBM Cloud services (e.g., Openshift and other native IBM Cloud services like EventStream, COS,…)
• Toolchain & Automation: Strong background in DevOps toolchains (CI/CD pipelines, GitOps) and infrastructure automation (Terraform, Ansible, scripting) to streamline development and deployment workflows.
• Java Frameworks: Experience with modern Java frameworks (Spring Boot) and their integration with cloud-native ecosystems.
• Developer Experience (DevEx): Ability to design and improve developer tools, platforms, and workflows to enhance productivity, reduce friction, and foster adoption of cloud-native practices.
• You are fluent in English (oral and written). Basic knowledge of Dutch or French is an asset.
