Job Title: Payment Sr. Business Analyst
Department: ISPL CIB Securities Services IT - HVP
About Business line/Function:
2S-HVP IT comprises of Payment and Treasury applications that supports Securities Services to provide an Integrated Treasury Services by Securing and automating connectivity, tracking balances, forecasting, payment initiation, funding & optimizing yield.
Optimizing clients’ cash flow processing on a global scale RTGS Management Platform, Multi Market, Multi Currency, High Value Payments (HVP) Used across 16 Branches with 50+ applications sending Cash instructions.
High Value Payments engine application that caters to Money Transfer needs for branches in Security Services. It is used for both inter and intra bank money transfers via different messages like SWIFT, SIC, messages to ARPE, Target 2, SIC, MEPS, RITS, SEPA and CHATS etc.
Position Purpose:
This position is for Business analyst role for IT systems on HVP Payments for the BNPP ISPL CIB Group. This position will involve in the requirements gathering, writing of the business requirements and functional specifications. Needs to liaise up with the development team, testing teams, and be involved in UAT, production implementation
Payments - Business Analyst will be responsible to:
- Analyze current state of each application and document
- Translate the business needs for the development teams and contribute to the functional test plan, as a writer and as a planner
- Support the implementation of technology & functional solutions in a cost-effective way
- Determine/document essential and desirable requirements
- Work in collaboration with Development & Business Analyst team from onshore
- Work with project managers, business stakeholders, internal IT application and support teams, business solution architects, developers, Business Analysts, IT and business change managers, test team
- Work with Project management team to set up Test strategy and framework
- The candidate will be responsible for creating and executing the functional testing suite.
- The candidate should be self-motivated, proactive and a good team player.
The candidate should have experience of working effectively in fast-paced environments.
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
Business Analysis:
- Document the current (as-is) business process design if this does not already exist
- Document the to-be business process design
- From the business processes documents, Identify and correctly translate business needs into functional requirement documents for development and testing activities
- Prioritize requirements into Must Have, Should Have, Could Have & Would Like
- Validate business requirements with stakeholders to ensure they are based on an understanding of the stakeholder needs, expectations, constraints, and interfaces
- Gain a firm understanding of the impacts of the solution on People, Process and Technology.
- Engage stakeholders to ensure a common understanding of (and commitment to) all aspects of the project including objectives, scope, risks, benefits and any element they may be providing Gather all the necessary inputs and review to fully understand the requirements, specifications, applicable standards etc.
- Work with test manager, Dev leads, testing team to define the functional and non-functional testing requirements
UAT Testing:
Design and create a Test Strategy:
- Write the test plan which will prove that the programs fulfil the required functions.
- Prepare the test environment
- Stay informed on the preparation of the test’s environments by development team
- Create the necessary tests data and direct the testing team, in collaboration with development team.
Execute the test plan for UAT
- Execute the tests defined in the test plan.
- Update the Acceptance report and the test management tool.
- if there is any problem, contact the development team
Monitoring and Test Report
- Periodically report the testing progress to Application management
- Highlight test and quality risks to Application management
Ensure Quality & Test Delivery
- Involved in walkthrough, inspections, review meetings
- Understands issues & problems and takes initiative to resolve
- Comply with the standards and processes in the test organization
- Acquiring knowledge in business domain and application workflow
- Identify the functional knowledge gap and address by conducting functional sessions
- Ensure timely project deliveries (milestones and deliverables)

Technical & Behavioral Competencies
Technical (Domain)
- Strong Functional knowledge and hands-on in Securities Payments domain (Swift Payments including CBPR+, HVPS+, SEPA)
- Experience in Swift MT & MX messages like MT103, MT202, MT202 COV, MT210, MT910, MT304, Pacs.008, Pacs.009, Pacs.004, Pacs.002, CBPR+, HVPS+ (Target2, EBA, SIC, MEPS, CHATS, RITS or other markets)
- Experience in International payments End to End value chain
- To transform the requirements from users/stakeholders into documents required by Development team & testing team
- Create test cases and test data as per requirements for UAT Testing.
- Excellent Problem solving & Risk assessments based on Business impacts
- Experience in writing SQL queries for backend validation
- Provides the functional walkthrough to Dev, testing teams and clarify their queries
- Analyze test cases thoroughly to ensure adequate coverage of requirements.
- Execute test cases, analyze test results and should be able to deep data analysis and troubleshoot issues.
- Should possess good knowledge with Testing concepts (Test Strategy, Test Plan, Estimations, Test Closer reports..etc.).
- Closely work with Dev teams/ Business to resolve issues and to develop a good understanding of the project and testing objectives.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Should be able to communicate effectively with IT teams as well as Business Teams
- Must be flexible, independent, and self-motivated
- Hands on experience on JIRA and Octane.
- Should be able to perform all BA and UAT testing-related duties.
