FXLM Rates Sales team cover Institutional Clients based globally for FX & Emerging Markets Rates products. We work closely with our partners in Trading, Research, Primary, Solutions and across the regions, to ensure delivery of BNPP as firm to our clients.
About this opportunity
The FX & EM Institutional Sales- Nordics & Netherlands – Graduate Analyst level role, will be accountable for providing support to more senior team members on routine tasks related to transactions within their respective business area.
Main scope of the role
The role holder will primarily focus on developing their product and technical knowledge and competence as well as developing a wider working knowledge of the market. They will undertake transaction-oriented activities, spending time on work such as due diligence, document processing and financial or statistical analysis. The role holder will work under direct supervision from more experienced colleagues, partnering with them on client activity and project work, with no unsupervised client contact.
What you will do
- Entry level professional requiring professional credibility and integrity of a FX & EM Institutional Sales- Nordics & Netherlands – Graduate Analyst and accountable for providing routine support within the Sales team. For example, operating under the direct supervision of more experienced Sales professionals, the role holder will undertake non-complex, transaction oriented tasks such as:
- Supporting the maintenance of existing business and assisting with new products and developments by completing allocated administrative tasks
- Demonstrating the development of a personal network across the Bank and an understanding of how to navigate the function and the wider Bank effectively
- Assisting with the production of reports and presentations to help the sales team
- Developing a sound understanding of the relevant products, tools and then market throughout a combination of formal training and practical experience
- Complete non-complex tasks to support the team to deliver high quality content to generate alpha for the clients
- Assisting in the investigation of prospective accounts
- Supporting the team to offer relevant content tailored to their client based on market data/themes and individual clients’ interests
- Develop an understanding of large sets of macro-economic data and develop basic skills to identify what is valuable to the client
- Aiding the team to distribute market intelligence, strategist/economist content and trade ideas that are relevant for the client by completing allocated administrative tasks
- Assisting in the co-ordination of client events and roadshows to further the teams client relationships by completing allocated administrative tasks
- Supports the development of strategic client relationships, promotes BNPP’s capabilities/services and anticipates their situation-driven requirements.
- Requires attention to detail and the ability to deliver information accurately and quickly to key stakeholders.
- Maintains open communications with their team and stakeholders to ensure work is completed to a sufficient level.
- Continues to develop basic skills related to the role and the wider Nordics & Netherlands Sales team, operating under the supervision of more senior staff.
- Adheres to and fully recognizes regulatory requirements and BNPP policy (including BNP Paribas Code of Conduct).
Relevant experience and requirements
- Technical experience related to FX or Rates transactions (or of others markets products) preferred. University degree or comparable qualification / business experience preferred.
- A strong team player and displays cross cultural awareness to work effectively within a team.
- Pre-existing knowledge of markets/products.
- Interest in relevant markets with a capacity and willingness to continue to develop market and cross cultural awareness autonomously.
- Prior experience in sales (rotations or other work experience).
- A strong personal focus on accuracy and attention to detail and able to prioritise workload based on shifting business needs.
- Good written and oral language skills.
- Nordic or Dutch language speaker preferred
