Description

Business Overview:

  • The main objectives of the Marketing team are to:
    1. Provide strategic and executional support to  BNP Paribas’ Institutional Client businesses in service of revenue and growth objectives
    2. Elevate brand awareness and visibility of BNP Paribas in addition to protecting our brand reputation in the USA and the Americas
    3. Position BNP Paribas externally as a sustainable & socially responsible orientated global banking leader providing holistic solutions across clients’ financial services needs         
    4. Develop integrated marketing & communications strategy that supports the business strategies for GMA, FIC, Securities Services and our Regional initiatives
    5. Help drive share of voice and share of wallet through multi-channel marketing & communications

campaigns, showcasing our expertise across different business areas and sectors

  1. Develop various product marketing materials and collateral (pitchbooks, brochures, fact sheets, video, web, podcasts, e-mail etc.) as well as thought leadership content, to leverage across distribution channels, and position products and strategies to suit our different client types: institutional & corporates

 

The role of Marketing is constantly evolving. Responsibilities are both strategic and operational “hands-on”. Our ability to work closely with sales, trading, research, and structuring staff, as well as cross-functional teams is critical.

 

The Marketing team is based in NYC, Jersey City and Lisbon. We work in close coordination with the other Americas Marketing & Communication team members as well as with marketing teams in other GM regions (EMEA and Asia Pacific).

 

The role will be based in Jersey City and will report to the Head of Marketing, Communications & Events for Institutional clients.

Responsibilities: 

Product Launches & Campaign Execution

  • Coordinate marketing launches for global products by contributing to the production of key selling points, fact sheets, brochures, and web tools targeted to different client segments. This will be done in collaboration with business partners and Marketing team members across platforms.
  • Manage the execution of marketing campaigns, including coordination with business partners, marketing colleagues across disciplines (communications, content, PR, social, and digital), cross-functional teams, and global colleagues as needed.
  • Manage the design, development, validation, publication, and communication of marketing materials and campaigns via our digital platforms, including websites, email software, and SharePoint.
  • Support the team in enhancing the distribution of marketing materials, external communications, and client targeting capabilities, as well as the execution of marketing campaigns through the implementation of digital platforms.

Marketing Materials

  • Collaborate closely with business partners, including sales, financing, structuring, and trading teams, to manage the design and production of marketing materials such as pitchbooks, presentations, brochures, factsheets, videos, and websites for institutional clients.
  • Simplify complex financial platforms, products, or strategies and effectively communicate their rationale, mechanisms, characteristics, and risks to specific client sectors, including hedge funds, asset managers, and institutional investors.
  • Contribute to awards pitches by providing product cases and highlighting key market and product trends.

Internal Communications

  • Work with business partners to develop educational presentations and marketing materials for financing products, strategies, and seminars, both internally and for clients, institutional investors, and industry service providers. This will be done in collaboration with Sales, Structuring, and Marketing team members from other platforms.
  • Contribute to internal communication initiatives to ensure effective information flow within the organization.

Events and Content

  • Contribute to the development of client content and events, such as webinars, panels, conferences, thought-leadership pieces, and trend analyses. 
  • Collaborate with the sales and events team to develop our event strategy, including the creation of marketing messages and content for events.

Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to legal and compliance requirements when designing materials and manage the review process of marketing materials with legal and compliance teams.

Additional Projects

  • Perform and support additional projects as requested by the manager, on an ad-hoc basis.

 

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 7-10 years of marketing experience, preferably within the financial industry, with a focus on Global Markets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of financial products and the financial industry, specifically the Global Markets product suite – equities, macro and credit.
  • Proven ability to manage the production of marketing collateral, including pitchbooks, product brochures, town hall presentations, videos, and web page development.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • High level of creativity and strong adaptability to changing circumstances.
  • Proven ability to adapt and excel in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and open to learning new technologies and media channels such as SharePoint, Smartfocus, WordPress, social media, and content marketing tools.

The expected starting salary range for this position is between $150k to $175k annually. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business line, and geographic/office location.
