About the job

  • The Compliance Function is an independent and integrated function of BNP Paribas Group. The overall mission of Compliance is, through second level control, to give reasonable assurance to senior management, that compliance, regulatory and reputational risks within Compliance Territory Portugal scope are monitored, controlled and mitigated as relevant
  • Reporting directly to the Regulatory Compliance Manager and functionally to the Compliance FS-KYC, Manager within Territory Compliance Portugal, this Compliance Officer will be mainly focused on FS-KYC for Global Markets perimeter and Market Integrity (MI) Domains

Your Main Activities Are

  • Analyze and provide compliance opinions on Global Markets KYC files to ensure compliance with local AML/KYC regulatory requirements and BNP Paribas Group policies and procedures; contribute to FS-KYC projects
  • Contribute to the analysis of ad-hoc Market Integrity requests from the stakeholders in coordination with the Market Integrity Responsible Officer (MIRO)
  • Identify and escalate any related-compliance risks according to the applicable procedures
  • Contribute to the Compliance Permanent Control through the execution of 2LoD controls, KPRIs, RCSA, Risk assessments, internal controls and follow-up of historical incidents and action plans
  • Contribute to audits and regulatory reports on FS-KYC (Global Markets perimeter) and MI
  • Analyze the impact of norms and regulations and identify if any required development is required, namely in terms of procedures, tools, controls and trainings
  • Contribute to promote Compliance awareness through adequate training and communication; foster a culture of integrity through the respect of Compliance rules and professional standards

Profile and Skills to Success

  • Bachelor Degree in Law / Economics / Finance / Accounting or related
  • At least 3 years of experience in Compliance / Banking and Financial Operations / Risk and Controls or similar
  • Advanced level of English, both written and oral
  • Ability to collaborate / teamwork
  • Ability to develop others and improve their skills
  • Decision making
  • Proactivity
