The position at a glance
Responsible for all operational aspects of the administration of credits in which the Bank is a participant and non‐agented direct loans. Functions include the processing of loan advances, repayments, rollover, interest and fee settlements, and L/C activity for multi‐currency portfolios. Timely review of open items in reconciliation and exception reports.
In detail
The team members are responsible of the following activities:
- Partner with a dedicated processing team to deliver fast, accurate service for our corporate borrowers and marketing groups.
- Review incoming loan instructions for completeness and intent, flagging issues early to keep deals on track.
- Drive new closings and transaction workflows, monitoring key dates to ensure timely funding and maturing‑loan verification.
- Enter all loan activity into LoanIQ with zero‑error precision, preparing authorizations, fund‑transfer documents, control logs and related communications.
- Generate customer invoices for fees and interest, using system data to calculate correct amounts and billing periods.
- Reconcile daily cash‑disbursement suspense accounts, resolve open items, and produce control‑reconciliation reports.
- Maintain clean portfolio records—unused‑commitment fees, commitment balances, past‑due items, fee amortization and GL balances—by leveraging query tools for self‑service verification.
- Respond promptly to inquiries or anomalies from clients, agent banks, and internal stakeholders, meeting established service‑time targets.
- Follow all administrative and procedural guidelines, uphold approval workflows, and keep loan files organized.
- Identify and report irregular transactions or operational issues, contributing ideas for process‑improvement and re‑engineering initiatives.
The strengths and skills that will help you succeed
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree
- Loan IQ experience
- Prior knowledge of loan products and rate index
- Basic Excel needed for invoicing and reconciliation
- Teamwork
- Reconciliation and reporting
- Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and communication skills.
- Comfortable juggling multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Given the vast majority of our clients, both internal and external, are based outside of Quebec and Canada, specific language requirements may apply. Knowledge of English is required.
