The position at a glance

Global Banking Americas is the department where the business with Corporates happens.

Within GBA, the COO Office-Business Managers & Analysts are responsible to support transversal business activities. The team is composed of 2 employees in Montreal and about 10 in NY. The team contributes directly to the business development, support business decision-makers in achieving their strategic goals via meaningful content and purposeful execution, as well as ensure its sound operation.


In detail

During the 4 months, the intern will help us improve the processes pertaining to data and reporting to management, as well as structure various aspects of our documentation. 

It will encompass but will not be limited to:

  • Monitoring some metrics (e.g. Headcount) to be familiar with its weekly processes and workflow
  • Propose improvements in the processes & tools
  • Participate in the implementation of new tools for better data management (incl. requirements, testing, data reconciliations)
  • Create or improve process documents/user guides 


The intern might be involved in different projects depending on demand.

 

The strengths and skills that will help you succeed

Eligibility: 

  1. Currently enrolled full-time in an accredited Canadian post-secondary program
  2. Must be able to work in the local premises 
  3. Be 18 and over
  4. Have at least one more semester left after completion of internship


SKILLS AND BEHAVIOURS 

  • Strong analytical skills – must know how to manipulate data and be comfortable with new tools /technologies 
  • Fastidious attention to detail in all components of work as data cannot be wrong for the business
  • Good visual communication skills to support power points presentations and process guides
  • Self-motivated, good at concentrating, patient & rigorous
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of the Office suite (Powerpoint, Word, …)
  • An advanced level in Excel is required (V look-up, pivot tables, …)
  • Knowledge of Sharepoint would be a plus
  • Given the vast majority of our clients, both internal and external, are based outside of Quebec and Canada, specific language requirements may apply. Knowledge of the English is required
