The position at a glance

 

The Finance & Risk Solutions (F&RS) Team is responsible for the implementation of third party and in-house developed reporting solutions for Liquidity, Finance, and Risk sponsors. Their scope of responsibilities includes interactions with multiple stakeholders, project management, business analysis, technical and functional support, and development of IT solutions in line with the best practices established by CIB and the BNP Paribas group

 

  • Provide first-line user support by responding to inquiries, conducting training, and researching solutions in collaboration with Front-Office, IT Operations, Finance, Risk and Reporting systems teams.
  • Support[JS1]  the accuracy and quality of financial reporting by ensuring data integrity and tool availability.
  • Actively engage with users to identify issues and propose timely, effective solutions.[RH2] [PSN3] 
  • Supports [JS4] the financial closing cycle – including pre-closing, closing, and post-closing activities.
  •  [JS5]  Proactively follow the handover from OFS roll out project teams to production to avoid functional and technical incidents

 

In detail

 

  • Liaise with the user community and provide functional expertise and consultative support to users
  • Investigate and resolve issues reported by users or related to daily batch reporting. 
  • Facilitate effective communication between business units, IT, PMO, and other geographically distributed teams. 
  • Provide proactive updates to users on major incidents or planned application downtime.
  • Support to identify business line impacts generated by a solution
  • Share domain knowledge and provide training or documentation as needed.
  • Prepare reports and dashboards in accordance with established operating procedures.
  • Maintain high standards by performing recurring quality checks and controls.
  • Coordinate and support user communities to enhance collaboration and feedback.
  • Develop strong partnerships with development and stakeholder teams.
  • Manage user tickets via the designated online support tool.

 

The strengths and skills that will help you succeed

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Accounting, Information Technology, or related field (or international equivalent)
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting, accounting systems, or financial services system implementations. 
  • 2 -5 years of experience in financial systems support or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial and management accounting principles, controls, and systems
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to convey complex information clearly
  • Collaborative and team-oriented approach
  • Strong customer focus and commitment to service excellence
  • Active listening and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage cross-functional relationships and influence stakeholders
  • Familiarity with IT systems, testing methodologies, and the business/IT interface
  • Knowledge of French and English is required.
