About Business line/Function:

CEFS IT is Global BNP Paribas CIB IT team responsible for the delivery of IT platforms and solutions for client engagement and financial services domain spread globally. It involves use of analytics, business Intelligence, ETL on  datawarehouses and datalakes( OLTP and OLAP)  or maintaining front end applications for client services.

Process Plus is a sub cluster of CEFS which is a center of excellence for process orchestration.  Camunda is the platform chosen for process orchestration.  Various business units, e.g. CIB2SGM will be leveraging the CoE to automate the orchestration of their business processes.

Position Purpose

Role needs a hands-on Infra and DevOps Engineer to handle complex K8 based Camunda Infrastructure - an enterprise grade workflow solutions that power our critical business processes. As part of our process orchestration unit, person will work closely with business analysts, solution architects, and Developers to turn BPMN, DMN and CMMN models into reliable, scalable, and observable services that run on Java/SpringBoot microservices platforms.

 

Responsibilities

 

Direct Responsibilities

 

·         Infra & Optimize Processes – Define deployment and infra plan on Camunda setup on a cluster using K8. Infra must be scalable and expandable to meet business rules, compliance, and performance targets. Setting up K8, Sizing, CyberArk, ArgoCD, Git, Dynatrace, Terraform, etc.

·         Implementation – CI/CD pipeline implementation of services using DevOps tools like ArgoCD, Jenkins,..etc.. DevOps pipeline maintenance and evolution

·         Integration – Design deployment model for multiple Camunda tenants within the cluster. Define best practices for using external systems (ERP, CRM, legacy services) connectors.

·         Deployment & CI/CD – Package process applications as Docker containers, write Helm charts/Kubernetes manifests, and automate deployments via Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub actions.

·         Operations & Monitoring – Set up Camunda Operate, Tasklist, Optimize dashboards, and configure Prometheus/Grafana alerts for process health, SLA compliance, and bottleneck detection. Manages Camunda 8 platform installations, upgrades, patches and monitoring. Design and implement seamless integration of Camunda with other systems such as SSO, Multi-tenancy. Responsible for designing and maintaining reusable component library for Camunda. Implement and manages security policies for Camunda environment

·         Governance & Documentation – Maintain version controlled BPMN/DMN repositories, K8 pods write technical documentation and enforce naming, tagging, and security standards as necessary.

·         Collaboration – Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, retros, daily stand‑ups) and work with product owners to translate business requirements into executable processes.

·         Continuous Improvement – Evaluate new Camunda features (e.g., Camunda Platform 8, Zeebe), propose upgrades, and pilot emerging BPM technologies.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

 

·         12+ years of experience in Infra/Env Engineer and DevOps.

·         Strong hands-on experience with Camunda Platform Admin, Infra/Environment management – using K8/Terraforms

·         Proficiency in CI/CD, CyberArk, ArgoCD, Git, Dynatrace, Terraform (understanding of modeling best practices).

·         Hands on expertise of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).

·         Understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and JPA/Hibernate. Must be able to interact with development, test & production support team.

·         Camunda certification is preferred

·         Good Knowledge on Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security, and building RESTful services.

·         Good communication skills
