About Business line/Function: |
CEFS IT is Global BNP Paribas CIB IT team responsible for the delivery of IT platforms and solutions for client engagement and financial services domain spread globally. It involves use of analytics, business Intelligence, ETL on datawarehouses and datalakes( OLTP and OLAP) or maintaining front end applications for client services. Process Plus is a sub cluster of CEFS which is a center of excellence for process orchestration. Camunda is the platform chosen for process orchestration. Various business units, e.g. CIB 2S,GM will be leveraging the CoE to automate the orchestration of their business processes. |

Position Purpose | |||||
Camunda Business Analyst (BA) is the bridge between the business’s strategic goals and the technical implementation of those goals within Camunda’s workflow engine. In this role you will work hand in‑ hand with product owners, process engineers, solution architects, and development teams to turn business requirements into executable BPMN/DMN models, ensure those models are properly governed, and continuously monitor their performance to drive measurable ‑improvements.

Responsibilities | |||||
Direct Responsibilities
1. Requirement Elicitation & Documentation – Conduct workshops, interviews, and “as-is” analysis with business stakeholders; produce clear functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria. 2. Process Discovery & Modeling – Translate business needs into BPMN 2.0, DMN, and (when needed) CMMN diagrams using Camunda Modeler; apply modeling standards (naming, versioning, annotation). 3. Collaboration with Development – Work hand in hand with Camunda developers to define service tasks, external task contracts, and data mapping; clarify any ambiguities in the technical implementation. 4. Performance & KPI Management – Define process level KPIs (cycle time, SLA, throughput); set up Camunda Optimize dashboards and reporting for monitoring business performance. 5. Continuous Improvement – Analyze process metrics, identify bottlenecks, and propose redesigns or automation opportunities; support Kaizen/Lean initiatives. 6. Agile Participation – Contribute to Scrum ceremonies (backlog grooming, sprint planning, demos, retrospectives) and maintain a transparent, prioritized backlog of process enhancements. 7. Stakeholder Management – Act as the primary point of contact for business owners; communicate status, risks, and benefits of BPM initiatives in business-friendly language.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies | |||||
• 10+ years of BA experience (preferably in banking, capital markets, etc.). • Experience in gathering, modelling, solutioning, and documenting complex business processes. • Hands‑on experience with BMP or Camunda Modeler (BPMN, DMN, CMMN) • Understanding of BMP or Camunda ecosystem (Task list, Operate, Optimize) and how process models map to engine execution. • Expert in designing workflows for complex business problems • Knowledge of BPMN 2.0 best practices, DMN decision tables, and process governance (naming conventions, versioning, documentation). • Agile/Scrum experience; comfortable working in cross functional, fast-paced teams. • Ability to capture data requirements and map data flows. • Familiar with Tech Architecture – MVC, Microservices design patterns etc. • Strong facilitation and stakeholder management abilities. • Excellent written and verbal communication; capable of translating technical jargon into business language. • Analytical mindset with a problem-solving orientation.
